It pours a solid red color and gives the same color body. A nice half inch white foamy head appears and gently dies into the body within a minute. Lacing spider webs down the pint glass. The smell is malty with caramel notes up front and some corn and grains slightly in the back. The taste is the same as the smell and finishes with a dry caramel taste. The mouthfeel is light to medium with a dry aftertaste and nothing harsh on the tongue. I would say this is a mostly drinkable beer, low ABV helps. Overall, this is a semi-solid Irish Red that is satisfying.

From the 12 fl. oz. bottle. Sampled on July 1, 2016.

Attractive reddish-amber pour underneath a modest off-white head. Good clarity.

Nice toasted barley malt aroma and the vaguest hint of chocolate. Earthy hops.

Medium body.

The taste is smooth and balanced with a mildly dry finish.

A: The beer is slightly dark reddish amber in color, almost resembling apple cider when viewed from afar. It poured with a half finger high white head that quickly settled down, leaving lacing on the surface and a narrow collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Light to moderate aromas of sweet, toasted malts are present in the nose along with some notes of earthiness.
T: The taste follows the smell and has some associated sweetness. Little, if any bitterness from the hops is perceptible, although they do contribute notes of earthly flavors.
M: It feels just about light- to medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer has a pleasant sweetness to it without being rather heavy on the palate. It is a good representation of the style.

A pleasant light red. Some light hoppy bitterness followed by some mild sweetness. Nicely layered. A lovely evening beer. Lilac and cherry blossom white.

Poured from a 12oz bottle into a US tumbler pint glass.

A: The beer is a light reddish brown color, with a thin off-white head that fades slowly and leaves a thin lace on the glass.

S: The aroma contains caramelized malts, honey, some fruit and some hops.

T: The taste starts out with a hearty malt character followed by sweet flavors of caramel, honey, fruit and nuts. The hops presence is mild but complementary and brings a good balance. The after-taste is slightly sweet and slightly bready.

M: Crisp and a little smooth, medium body, medium carbonation, finish is slightly sticky.

O: Tasty, goes down easily, not too filling, mild kick, good representation of style, this is a solid beer to pound down for a long time if you’re in the mood for that style.

Appearance: pours a dark amber color with a 1" head.

Smell: light fruit sweetness is what the nose detects.

Taste: caramel, bready, fruit sweetness, some mild earthiness, and a soft bitterness.

Mouthfeel: medium bodied beer. Lightly crisp to start, smoother at the finish. Malty aftertaste.

Overall: a solid red ale that is easy to drink and is very sessionable.

Served in a pint glass at the Great Lost Bear. A thick foamy tan head rests atop a reddish copper body. Good, even lacing is left behind.

Toasted caramel malts make up a majority of the aroma, but there are a few grassy hops mixed in.

The beer is lightly sweet, with plenty of caramel malts and some other toasted flavors. Finnish is dry and earthy, with a slight sweetness that lingers.

Medium body with average carbonation. A little bit of coating has a decent amount of flavor.

This is an enjoyable anniversary offering. I think it stands up to Geary's regular offerings; it's too bad it probably won't be brewed again.

Poured into tulip from bottle, nice 1 finger tan creamy head, reduces a little but sticks around. Dark amber/red with a little light peeking thru. Smells of malt and some earthy hops seeping thru. Taste is a little sweet up front, nice malt sweetness, mild caramel/honey coming thru, some dark fruit lingering in there somewhere like raisins but it goes away pretty quick. Finish isn't so much on the dry side as I would expect. Not one of my favorite styles, but a solid beer

A: Pours a solid red/amber color with a fingers worth of off-white head

S: Nice and malty, with light cereal grains and a touch of earthy hops

T: Follows the nose, nice and hearty for the 4.8% with a touch of sweetness and earthy hops. Finishes with mostly a barley influence

M: Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. A little drying from the barley, also with a softer feel

O: A solid Irish Red that is satisfying and easy to drink. I'm sure this won't get around much, and probably won't make it out of Maine, but it is definitely worth trying if you come across it

Nice reddish color. Creamy light tan colored head but alittle thin. On the nose it had a nice fruity honey aroma. Taste had a smooth sweetness to it. Nice carbonation. This would be an excellent warm weather summer brew. Drink up and enjoy!

Poured from a 12 oz bottle into a Lagunitas mason glass.

L: Pours a clear dark reddish mahogany color. Two fingers of creamy off-white head. Reasonable lacing.

S: Toasted malts and sugars.

T/F: Semi-dry toasted malts... bready and earthy. A bit of caramel. Hop presence at the end to give some bittering at the finish.

O: Nothing to go crazy about... but for the style not bad, and very sessionable. Easy to drink, inoffensive, but rather forgettable.

Clear, light reddish brown. Nose is sweet with dark fruit. Taste starts off malty with toasted nuts and caramel, then becomes sweeter with the dark fruit flavors found in the nose. Mild bitterness with a dry finish. Overall, this is a nice flavorful lower ABV beer, easy drinking without boredom.
