12oz can
Surprised I haven't chalked this one up yet... just a solid IPA with bitter pine/tangerine flavors rising out of the hop stink, crisp bite and enough ABV to kick your ass if you let it
Maybe my favorite brewery going

Canned 2/22/22; drank 3/15/22 @ the Yarchives.
Cloudy pale orange/yellow appearance.
A violent pour yielded a huge, noisy eggshell head; thick, frothy tree-rung lace.
Lemon peel, table sugar & faint wheat notes in the nose.
Medium mouthfeel.
Table sugar, mild lemon peel & faint wheat flavors. Plain flavors here; just OK.

Very drinkable beer. Great tasting, definitely don't feel like you need to drink a different beer when you have a second one as some beers make you feel. Other reviews here give you the particulars as to the flavors very well so I won't repeat them.

A: Rich golden to light amber in color. Just a touch of chilled, foggy haziness. Very nice 2 finger creamy white head and some dreamy lacing.
S: Tropical mango dominates off the bat, orange, pineapple, and papaya follow. Clean woodsy pine, juicy and sweet florals.
M: Smooth and very soft on plate, medium body. Maybe some more carbonation to give the flavors some more intensity. Finishes a bit dry on the finish.
T/O: Really matches the nose. Big sweet and juicy fruits at the beginning. Apricot, mango, and pineapple. Bitterness comes in half through, and remains thereafter through the finish. Tastes of pine on the end with residual notes of orange and grapefruit. This beer is citrusy, juicy, piney-sweet lychee. Really attractive presentation. It's balanced well and the notes are blended as well. A bit of caramel, doughy malt contributes carries the candies citrus and pineapple into upside down cake holiday territory.

Canned 6/29/21.
L: Surprisingly, pours more clear than hazy. Short white head thins to a coating. Lightly splotchy lacing.
S: Citrus, but muted.
T: Citrus fruit up front, especially lemon. Smooth middle. Slightly bitter and noticeably dry finish. Very nice flavor juxtaposition.
F: Unexpectedly light - but not soft - mouthfeel that makes this beer easily drinkable.
O: Wouldn't call this dank or hazy - contrary to the label advertising - but it's a well done IPA that straddles the east and west coast categories.

Pours a golden yellow with a somewhat thin off-white head. Smells heavy of citrus, grapefruit, malt-backbone. Taste follows the nose, super balanced brew. Full-bodied, high carbonation, crisp, biting. Really well done IPA.

Color is hazy gold.
Nose is a nice blend of citrusy hops and some pine, on a backdrop of tropical fruits (Mango for sure, Passion Fruit maybe and a touch of Lychee?) Taste is pleasurably fruity-hoppy. Love it!
Mouthfeel somewhat light-bodied with velvety bitterness, but at the end of the day, Foggy Geezer is a truly outstanding Hazy/Juicy American IPA, that will bring sunshine into your glass, and dreams of the Tropics, on a warm summer day.
◇ A collaboration of two geniuses: "3 Floyds" of Indiana, USA, and Danish "Mikkeller", of København.◇

by defunksta from North Dakota
Appearance: Pours a semi-hazy (~50%), medium orange color with a moderately foamy head. SRM of 8. (3.75)
Aroma: Strong and rich orange citrus, lemon, pineapple, mango aromas. Slight peach and strawberry aromas. Mostly rich orange, peach, some tropical and strawberry to support. Big, rich, and sweet (3.75)
Flavor: The flavor follows the nose, with big and wet orange, peach, wet pineapple, strawberry flavors. Big and wet. But also a rather strong bitterness here. No match for the candied and fruity malts here though that allow it to lean sweet. (3.75)
Feel: Big, rich, and sweet. Low to moderate carbonation. Hides the alcohol well. No appreciable malt sweetness behind the sweet fruit.
Compared to New Belgium Higher Plane Hazy IPA 11/8/20: Pours a slightly clearer color. More rich and juicy tropical fruit. Less green coconut, lime, and green plant.
Compared to Sierra Nevada's Hazy Little Thing 12/1/20: Pours a similar, but slightly lighter and hazier color. Extremely similar aromas. If we're pulling hairs, more wet peach/pineapple/lemon sweetness. Less orange citrus. Heavier and sweeter. Extremely similar though.
5/12/21: More juicy/sweet orange. Less tart lemon citrus. Sweeter and juicier.
9/23/21: More pithy citrus. Less tropical. More herbal.
Compared to New Belgium's Captain Dynamite IPA 2/28/21: Pours a lighter color with a cleaner head. More rich, big and sweet aromas/flavors of orange, peach, tropical, and pineapple fruit. Less zesty and airy orange/lemon/pineapple.
to Samuel Adams Wicked Hazy 3/11/21: Pours a darker, clearer color. More orange citrus, pine, and tropical flavors. Less sweet peach and flower. Lighter and less resinous. Less creamy and smooth. More pine and bitterness with a stronger carbonation, and a crisper bite.
to Deschutes' Fresh Haze 3/15/21: Pours a lighter, clearer color. Similar, but stronger aromas/flavors. More sweet tropical flavors and juicier. Possibly more orange juice and less peach.
to Lagunitas Little Sumpin Hazy 4/1/21: Pours a slightly lighter color, clearer. Stronger and more citrusy aromas. More orange, pineapple, strawberry. Less mandarine orange and tropical fruit sweetness. Juicier, crispier, with more flavor. Winner: Foggy Geezer
to Sweetwater H.A.Z.Y IPA 4/30/21: Pours a darker, clearer color. Stronger an sweeter orange citrus and and pineapple. Bigger, heavier, an sweeter. Less juicy and crisp.
to Super Cluster 5/5/21: Pours a lighter color. Has orange, but more peach, tropical and strawberry. Less orange and pine.
3/28/22: (mislabeled blind) Pours hazier, more flowery pine, citrus.
to Insight Brewing's Hop Drop IPA 6/8/21: Pours a clearer color. Milder aromas and flavors. More smooth orange, and smooth tropical flavors. Less biting orange, pineapple, and herbal/hop burn bitterness. A stronger malt body.
to 3 Floyd's Barbarian Haze IPA 7/29/21: Pours a clearer color. Milder aromas. More resinous orange and peach. Less juicy and fruity.
to 3 Floyd's LazerSnake 8/16/21: Similar appearance, slightly less bright. Similar aroma. Stronger orange, tangerine, resinous and juiciness. Less creamsicle malts.
to Bells Official Hazy 10/28/21: Pours darker. More orange, pineapple, and sweeter and darker malts. Less peach, asian and starfruit. Sweeter and darker.
to Stone Vengeful Spirit 12/7/21: Pours clearer. Milder aromas. More orange and peach creamsicle. Less juicy pineapple and mango. More of a bite.
to Lagunitas Stereohopic V4 2/15/22: Pours a similar color. Stronger aromas. More sweet orange, pineapple.
to New Belgium Voodoo Ranger Juicy Haze IPA 4/13/22: Pours darker, clearer. Milder aromas. More resinous orange, pineapple, and peach. Less citrus and flower.
Overall: A rich and juicy IPA. Tons of sweet ORANGE, PEACH, with some STRAWBERRY, LEMON, and light MANGO to support. Not even sure if it is considered hazy given the sweetness. It also has quite a strong bitterness for being a "hazy IPA". Not surprised it would seem similar to SN Hazy Little Thing. It would be a denser and more bitter version of a NEIPA. Still, strong but pleasant, juicy citrus and tropical flavors. (Final Rating: 3.73)

Prehistoric first Review in 2018:
Look: Pours a hazy, lighter orange color with a moderate foamy head.
Smell: Aroma is your classic citrus, tropical melon, and stonefruit.
Taste There is orange, pineapple, tropical melon, with a hint of stonefruit with the black tea and earthy undertones. Classic flavors of your simcoe or mosaic hop variety. However, to point out there may be a hint of cinnamon. Strong bitter finish.
Feel: The beer is well carbonated with a crisp, and non-oily mouthfeel.
Overall: It's foggy, but surprisingly bitter. Definitely not a New England style. More of a balanced IPA. It has the popular mosaic/simcoe dank tropical flavors with quite a bit of bitterness on the end.

Light yellowish orange appearance with very little haze. Perfect ring lacing. Some earthy pine hitting the fruit but not getting a ton off of it. More of that but prominent in the flavor profile. It goes back to that lemony, orange like in the look which is odd as you would think it would play off of the nose.
