Pours clear gold in color with minimal head. Taste is straw and light grassy hops. Light bodied, slightly bitter, high carbonation. Makes for a solid Polish lager.

run of the mill euro pale lager. somewhat acidic finish malted down and seltzer like carbonation. Better than a Heineken, so I hung out with a small pour.

500 ml can into lager glass, best before 8/5/2017. Pours fairly crystal clear medium golden/amber color with a 1 finger dense and fluffy white head with good retention, that reduces top a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of cracker, lightly toasted biscuit, light honey, herbal, light pepper, and floral/grassy earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance of pale malt and light-moderate earthy hop notes; with solid strength. Taste of cracker, lightly toasted biscuit, light honey, herbal, light pepper, and floral/grassy earthiness. Light-moderate herbal/grassy/spicy bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of cracker, lightly toasted biscuit, light honey, herbal, light pepper, and floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Nice robustness and balance of pale malt and light-moderate earthy hop flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance, and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Perfectly clean on lager flavors, with no yeast notes present. Light-moderate dryness from bitterness, increasing through the glass. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately crisp/bready/grainy, and fairly sticky balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 5.5%. Overall this is a nice pale lager. All around good robustness and balance of pale malt and light-moderate earthy hop flavors; very smooth, crisp, clean, and refreshing to drink. Very flavorful and well balanced; with more hop presence than most Euro pale lagers. A nicely enjoyable offering.

Lezajsk Beer is a Lager from Poland. 500 ml bottle. 5.5% alc. It's made by Zywiec Breweries. The beer has a nice white head and there are lots of ascending bubbles. The colour is golden. The smell is light grain, sweet malt, and the same applies for the taste. There is a slight bitter finish that's quite enjoyable. The finish is also dry. The mouthfeel is light to medium. This is a good beer. Refreshing at any time but particularly on hot days. It would pair well with pretty much anything.

500ml bottle poured into Sam Adams pint glass.

Pours a clear golden yellow with a thin finger of white head that leaves dripping sheets of lace as it recedes.

Smells of crisp cereal and mild noble hops. Bread dough and fresh-cut grass.

Tastes of more mildly sweet cereal and bracing hop bitterness.

Feels clean and crisp. Light bodied with fizzy carbonation. Finishes with soft sweetness.

Verdict: Not bad at all. Great lawnmower beer.

Another beer from the captain of the can ship, woodychandler. Poured from a 16.9 oz. can. Has a golden color with a 1/2 inch head and lots of carbonation. Smell is of malts, grains. Taste is mild, grains, malts, refreshing but a bit lacking in flavor. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall a decent beer.

One of the really cool things about a visit to Chicago is the opportunity to visit one of the area Binny's to scour around for additions to The CANQuest (tm). I prefer their South Loop location, especially given its proximity to Union Station, plus it holds a tap room. They also have a dizzying selection of 500 ml European CANs in shrink-wrapped 4-packs and this came out of one of them.

From the CAN: "Traditional Full Flavour"; "Product of Poland"; "Regional Beer from Podkarpacie"; "Clean Nature [,] Rich History"; "Tradition of Podkarpacie"; "Beer with tradition. Brewed since 1525 on the basis of a charter granted to the city of Lezajsk."; "It owes its unique character to the place of origin, the natural and peaceful region of Podkarpacie."; "Lezajsk beer is an excellent choice for people who value harmony of tradition and flavour of beer."

I will get a picture of one of the remaining CANs later today, but for now, I am on a roll and I want to CANduct a Crack! and inverted Glug. The foaming action came right up and I had to slow down as a result. This produced about three fingers of puffy, bone-white head that stood up, looked around and sat back down just as quickly. Awww. Color was Yellow-Gold (SRM = 4 - 5) with filament brightness and Poof! the Gelt Boys, Mammon, Croesus and Midas were paying me a visit. It is being identified as a "Euro Pale Lager", but with the grassy, Noble hop nose and the biscuity maltiness, I would have guessed a Czech Pils. No matter. I was ready to drink. Mouthfeel was medium. The taste was less grassy than on the nose, and the malt was sweeter, but what it really reminded me of was Genesee Cream Ale! It was pretty sweet, but man, was it refreshing on a hot summer's day! Throw some of this in the cooler, hit the beach, go hiking, mow the lawn, this is going to hit the spot. Finish was semi-sweet, thanks to a hops presence that kept it from being over the top. I suddenly want to eat a pretzel! Man, this is really good.

A- Opens well and pours a small white head that is gone within a minute. Dark gold. Clear

S- Not a lot here. Malt

T- Malt. Just a regular European beer. Heavier than most

M- Heavy and dry.

O- Not the best beer out there. Will not buy again

Food Pairing

This ok beer will go well with...... Potato salad with mayo, green onions, radishes, egg, salt and pepper. Sprinkle paprika on top

Enjoy
