The colour is straw yellow (5 BEC), the liquid is clear. The two finger head is airy and white; it sinks quickly into a tin lid leaving some lacing.
The smell got some clean smoked flavours of delicatessen. Some tart wheat-notes, distinct clean bitterness and hints of sweet malts. Sort of a cleaner and lighter version of Æcht Schenkerla Rauch-Märzen.
The taste is clean with delicatessen in the background. Clean bitter notes, bread-like sweetness and hints of wheat sourness. Medium body. The aftertaste is semi-sweet and lightly smoked. Hints of metal, wood and vegetables. The finish is semi-sweet with notes of rye bread and beer sausages.
The carbonation is strong, the many mid-sized bubbles are smooth and short-lived. The liquid is a bit harsh.
A clean and balanced lager. I had hoped for much stronger flavours of smoke malt, the oak-cubes and the wheat malt.

*I'm writing this pretty much after the last drop has swept past my tounge so I beg you to excuse misspelling due to a light touch of drunkedness.
Served into a tulip at room temperature.
Appearance: Golden as the ever so fading sunlight upon the autumn leaves of October. Beautiful white head which dissipates swiftly and leaves no trace at the top of this wonderful brew. A healthy dose of lacing on the sides tells you that this will have some wonderful sweetness to it. Bubbles are not abundant but appears in a mellow manner.
Smell: You get a nice fresh smell of malts, orange zest, marmelade. Pretty sweet smell I'd say and not much smoke here. You get a bit of a floral hop smell to it aswell.
Taste: As I begin to drink I first get these sweet and mellow tastes of malts. Floral hops with not that much bitterness to it. Marmelade, orange zest is what first hits me. As I continue drinking the smokes becomes more and more apparent and brings a very nice finish to it. The taste that lingers on afterwards are marmelade with a hint of peated whiskey.
Mouthfeel: Mellow, quite smooth for a lager. Goes done very easy. I'd say at the light side of medium body. "Lagom" amount of bubbles (not too much, not too little).
Overall: Very well balanced beer. Light and still complex. It has lots of dimensions to discover without being a heavy beer. I'd say they really nailed this one down. Gets some minus points for the lack of head and the lack of smoke in the smell.
