On nitro at the source. Some lace, and its black. Roast but nitro kills any complexity. Not very drinkable. Would try it again on cask to see if more tasty.

A - poured with one finger of tan foam on an opaque, black body. The head settles slowly and leaves decent lace.

S - sweet, roasted malt with notes of bittersweet chocolate and caramel.

T - dark, sugary malt up front, some caramel and smoky molasses in the middle. Finishes with dark brown sugar, chocolate, and moderate bitterness.

M - medium thick body, moderate carbonation, and a slightly sweet finish.

D - not bad, but lacking in complexity and overly sweet. More rotated barley character would go a long way toward balancing out and improving this beer.

Dark brown color. Small head. Aroma is malty and very chocolately. A full bodied stout. Malts are chocolately and roasted. Touches of coffee and vanilla. Well balanced. Nice finish. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet

I had this on tap at the brewery in Flagstaff, AZ. It poured very dark brown, but not black with a creamy long-lasting tan head. It had a highly aromatic sweet-roast scent, and a full-bodied deep flavor which was complex but not strong. Mainly blends of chocolate and caramel roast dominated the taste.
