Poured from a growler into a Sierra Nevada shaker-pint.

Not a very good wheat beer, and by far the least impressive of FBC's offerings that I've tried. Big liminal layers of banana and orange on the nose, but with an undercurrent of unappetizing past-prime or over-ripe fruit notes. Decent showing of carbonation, but otherwise the visual affect is flat, with a bronze pallor more reminiscent of sad macro-cream-ales than well-crafted wheats.

The flavor—while by no means as unappealing as the aroma and appearance—is still no great shakes: some nice bite, but otherwise exorbitantly sugary, to an extent that it almost flashes a Bananas Foster flavor (and texture, for that matter). The linger is likewise excessive to my tastes, not finishing clean nor leaving much pleasing as it parts. Still, the taste isn't terrible, overall—just substandard, and disappointing, given the rest of FBC's portfolio. Nonetheless, as a sum total, this is a flawed weiss without much to interest nor offering much in the way of refreshment.

Cloudy bright yellow with a small white collar that leaves no lace.

Smell is very estery, lots of banana and a little grainy.

Taste is sweet cereals, banana, clove, just a touch husky.

Mouthfeel is slick, some crisp carbonation, light body.

Drinkability is pretty good, not outstanding, but hits all the key notes, lots of esters which I like.
