A - light brown, bubbly white head and little visible carbonation.
S - Smells sweet with dark notes of caramel, toffee and chocolate.
T - Less sweet than it smells, the chocolate and caramel are only present in the finish which is very quick. There is some bitterness present, but not much. Tastes darker than it looks.
M - Heavy body, but heavily carbonated as well, like sparkling syrup.
D - Fairly decent, but perhaps too thick and too heavy.

beer 1100, the centuries are usually marquee spots saved for beers i think are going to be particularly terrible, but no such beer showed up in time, so we have this instead, which is fine, drinkable, nice bready biscuity malt, caramel, light herbal flavour, grass, light bitterness, light bodied, medium carbonation, grand, was nice with my schnitzel dinner

Half litre can called Holsten Helles.

A: Golden, clear, small head morphed into layer of foam on top.

S: Malt, didn't have on overly prominent aroma.

T: Combined the fresh bitterness of a north German Pils with the malty sweetness of a Bavarian Helles.

M:Fairly crisp texture, well carbonated.

Combined aspects of a North German Pils with a South German Helles, decent beer

May 2015: 330 ml bottle, from CITTI-Markt Flensburg. BB date 04.2014. ABV is 4.9%. Clear pale golden colour, moderate white head. Aroma of sweetish corn and a little herbal hops. Fresh pilsener flavour, with a nice balance between the malts and hops. An okay refreshment, no more, no less.

Pours a crystal clear light golden coloration with a medium, foamy head. Smells of sweet malts, grains, wet cardboard and light noble hops. Taste is a mix of doughy malt and light noble hops, with hints of grains, skunky grass and wet cardboard. Quite sweet and lacking enough hops for balance. Finishes with a light bitterness and light metallic aftertaste. Decent mouthfeel, with a medium body and lively carbonation.

All in all pretty poor.

This is a Euro Pale Lager, from Hamburg, Germany. 5,9%abv.

I poured the 33cl bottle into a Pelforth glass. It poured a small 1inch white head fading almost instantly.

Bitter hops and spicy malt. Taste as usual for this style is a tad metallic. I am not blown away. It's a cheap Euro Pale Lager anyway.

Overall, it is slightly superior to most in this style. It was only 0,79€ for the single bottle so this had me giving an "okay" 3,35 overall BA rating.

A: The pour is pale golden and the white head is medium large and compact. Dissipation leaves rich lacings.

S: Sweet malt and bitter hops, but there's a faint smell of corn that kind of ruins a good thing...

T: Light in taste; bitter hops and sweet malt.

M: Aftertaste lingers with some bitterness. Body is medium while carbonation is rich but smooth.

O: Started off quite nice, but is a below average product.

The color is medium yellow. Large white airy head. The smell is quite weak. Some bitter notes as well as some herbs. A touch of sour dough. The taste is, as a German “edel” is supposed to be, mild. Some sweet notes, some anonymous bitterness. The aftertaste is quite malty with some bitter hops and butter in the finish. The carbonation is rather strong; small bubbles. The liquid is watery. More malt than in a standard Euro lager, otherwise a quite simple brew.
