Thanks to JealousChalice for sharing this and rekindling my love for Belgian beers which is where it all started for me
Look: Brown in color with a 1/4 inch head and good retention
Smell: Oak cinnamon apple and clove
Taste: Same as the nose but just a touch more muted with some caramel notes popping through
Mouthfeel: Thin body with ample carbonation. I love the way a great Belgian beer feels in your mouth
Overall: Was amazed just to see this beer and enjoyed it just as much as my amazement

Thanks for opening this, JealousChalice!
Hazed ruby and chestnut brown with a quickly forming light khaki colored head eventually dots the glass on the way down.
A complex aroma: oak, tart and sweet cherries, grapes, some acidic sour notes even, grass, and a mild, complementary funk. That's pretty awesome.
The flavor too is just as unique and delightful. The flavors of sweet and sour cherries, berries, oak, and funky yeast combine for a one-of-a-kind drinking experience.
Light, airy body. Awesome. Distinctly Belgian.
One of the most unique and simply enjoyable beers I've sampled in a very long time.

Thanks to JealousChalice for sharing this one at MrVonzipper's tasting!
Pours a murky brown with a khaki head that fades to a film on top of the beer. Small dots of lace form on the glass on the drink down. Smell is of oak and some sour/tart cherry and berry aromas. Taste is of oak and sweet and sour dark fruits (especially cherry and berry). This beer has a good level of carbonation with a slightly drying mouthfeel. Overall, this is a good beer but it's unlike any other BSDA I have had before.

A: Muddy chestnut color with no head at all, just three bubbles rise. Scant lacing.
S: Aroma is dominated by coriander, but also a background of nutmeg and roasted malts.
T: Flavor is dominated by the spice - pine, coriander, ginger, chocolate malt, and a sour finish. Maybe some lacto in there. More spice and more sourness than the ordinary Balthazar.
M: medium body, pleasant to drink.
D: Third best beer of a long tasting session on New Year's Eve 2009/2010.
