a Huge head gives this Freaky beer. Good golden view with some dancing sparkles here and there.

The smell gives me some fruits like banana and apricots. Also some fine hops are in the distance. It gives more like a summer fresh fruit beer.

The taste is afterall very surprising! The nose gives always the same as the taste, but not with this special beer. The fruitiness is totally not here when I took my first sip. The taste gives me first a quite good little, smooth amber like taste and the aftertaste there comes plenty of bitterness.

a Okay beer from Alvinne.

A clear golden, orange beer with a big frothy head, that settles very slowly.

The smell is mostly lactic acid, with some exotic fruit notes like mango and pineapple. The malt smells crisp and light.

The beer has a mild lactic acid taste, which add a nice tartness. The lactic bacteria add a mango and pineapple and various other exotic fruits. The beer has a bitterness of 42 EBU, which is quite bitter for a 3,8% beer, but it doesn't outbalance the beer. The beer has a lot of flavor despite the low alcohol.

To pack so much flavour into such a low alcohol beer is truly a talent. This beer has the flavour complexity of good beers twice its strength but its lightness mean it is a top choice for a Belgian session beer. Chapeaux.

Light amber pour, slightly cloudy. A frothy head that dissipates.

The nose is citrus hops and a bit of yeast.

Nice hoppy flavour - citrus and grapefruit (as below) - also a bit of yeasty funk. Dry finish.

The genius with this beer is the amount of flavour in spite of the low alcohol content - there, I said it again. One of only two beers I know in Belgium that pack so much flavour in despite being below 4%.

Looks great, really good color of orange, fluffy white head, perfect lacing

Smells ok , yeasts, some grass, some dusty-ness

Tastes really dry and bitter, real earthlike dirt quality. Some yeastiness in the taste as well.

The bitterness was kind of 1 dimensional, but it being only 3.8% raises the rating for me, good sessionable bitter beer.

So, this is the first Alvinne product that I have purchased.
Have tried several various beers from them and have been underwhelmed; nothing more, nothing less. Purchased this one because of the low abv and thought it might have some wild yeast in it, given the name "freaky"... that was a bad assumption on my part!

As I expected, somewhat of a gusher. Should have poured it into a larger glass...

Pours with a huge white foamy head and smells grassy hops.

Taste of mild citrus lemon and grapefruit, some grains, grassy hops again with a bit of floral hops as well, finishing with a mild bitterness.

Am hopefully that the other ones I purchased are more interesting and less carbonated.

Got this from overseas, had others from Alvinne before that I enjoyed so was looking forward to this one.

Almost a gusher when the cap came off, poured extremely fizzy into a tulip glass. Medium hazy gold color with long-standing off-white thick bubbly head.

Aroma is hay/straw with grassy hops and a touch of sweet citrus. There's also a nice funk in the aroma, but not overpowering.

Taste also is of hay/straw with a slight farmyard essence. The citrus sweetness is present, but subtle. There is also a slight phenolic flavor. As it warms up, the hay flavor becomes more prevalent and much more bitter.

Mouthfeel is crisp and light, almost effervescent. The flavor lingers, but isn't unpleasant.

Overall very enjoyable, surprising amount of flavor and aroma from a 3.8 abv beer.

Thanks to bu11zeye for sharing this bottle.

The beer pours a hazy yellow orange color with a white head. The aroma is oranges and Belgian yeast with a little bit of funk. The flavor is oranges, lemons, yeast and grassy hops. I also get the slightest big of funk/tartness, but it is fairly faint and I am not sure if it is supposed to be there. Regardless, it goes nicely with the other flavors in the beer. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

When I was drinking the beer, I had no idea it was so low in alcohol. There is really a lot of flavor in this beer, especially for such as low ABV.
