seeing as foster's has disappeared from shelves here in the great white north..this is one of 2 Aussie brews I've been able to find in my 'dusty, dirty, rertirement city for Eastern Saskatchewan farmers. Poured that lager-like yellow with a foamy white head and very little lacing...smell was oh so slightly sour-like...surprising because I was expecting the green bottle skunk.

Taste...some citrus and that was about it...very high carbonation and very crisp tasting...would be best served ice cold on a very hot day...they're probably pounding these in Australia in the summer

My bottle claims to be brewed in Melbourne.
Not as bad as I expected (the green bottle made me hesitate) But this one is actually fairly unoffensive. Golden colour, even a little head. Aroma, while hardly pleasant, is rather neutral (even despite green bottle!) Mouthfeel is standard macro, but avoids too much corn starch. Flavour is agreeable. The whole beer really, is rather agereable

Pours a clear yellow with just a wisp of a thin head that dissipates instantly and leaves no lacing. Starts out ridiculously effervescent, but the carbonation subsides quickly and leaves behind a fairly flat looking liquid. Smell is unremarkable, a hint of that green-bottle skunk along with some wheaty notes and malts. Taste is of grass clippings and plastic, with maybe a hint of hops in the finish. Mouthfeel is thin and flat, and drinkability is nothing to write home about. A distinctly subpar lager.

--Came in a 6 pack. Standard 330 ml green bottle. It is clearly Australian as it says it on the label and their are 2 kangaroos on it!!
--Poured a light pale gold with nice head that left quickly. No real lacing.
--Smelled slightly skunky.

This is an average beer. That's about all I can say...just average.
Thanks

I purchased this only because I couldn't find any Red Stripe. Pale gold with fluffy white head, typical of adjunct lagers. Smell is okay, not as skunky/hoppy as some lagers I've had. Very detectable adjunct smell.

Taste is a bit of a downer. Watery, and nothing special. Hops with very faint malts. I can taste a bit of mash in there, but can't place it. Mouthfeel follows: thin, watery and a bit too much fizz. Despite this, Bushman's is still quite drinkable and sure has been nice on the hot days we've had lately. Best served ice cold!

Another recent import from Down Under. When, oh when, will I learn my lesson? I know they make good beer in Australia, but they keep it to themselves. And we get this...

Came in a 6 pack, poured from a 330 ml green bottle, a little trepidation with that, after travelling so far. It's a clear golden colour, fizzy head that falls back quickly. Aroma of light malt, hay, copper and skunk....and a little bit of apple juice as it warms up. Flavour has a bite to it, that of piping and lawnmower clippings, harsh aftertaste. Mouthfeel is watery. This is not very user-friendly beer, it'll knock out a couple of teeth and wrestle around with your tongue (to quote and rip off The Black Table). I mean, I've had worse, but that's not much to brag about.
