From a bottle (4/17/17, so 3.75ish years old)
L - A quickly receeding head of white-ish foam that leaves a surprisingly dense 1/10" foam head (rather than fading to nothingness). Body is slightly obscured but not quite hazy with a rose gold to peach complexion. While pouring could hear the effervescence working around it.
S - Scent is surprisingly inviting for a Saison: a bit of tart fruit on the nose, but not quite sapid or sour as a bit of fruity sweetness pokes through.
T - Taste is a bit tart up front but quickly morphs into something...more subtle. Fruity (pear?) sweetness (or perhaps the 8% ABV) peeks throughout complementing the flavor while some of the other fruit and spice help to provide some nice background color. There is also something familiar that I cannot put my finger on, but that is quite enjoyable.
F - Feel is on the crisp, dry, and lighter side with a bit of effervescence dancing on the tongue. Aftertaste is a bit sour with some of the alcohols lingering around on the tongue and teeth.
O - For an 8% ABV Saison that is almost 4 years old, this is pretty good and surprisingly refreshing.

Bottled 4.17.17 - waited on this maybe too long. Don't care. 22 oz bomber.
L - Golden amber hue, good head, decent lacing at 8%
S - Pear-peach, some very light barnyard, not as much Brett as I expected here. Smells like a distinctly cidery saison.
T - Pear-peach double down, dry as F*** - get some distinct baker's spice and clove on this at the end. Really nice. Incredibly balanced, not boozy, dry dry dry. Worth it.
F - Great funk and carbonation in this tart saison. Really nicely done.
O - a pleasant surprise, and unexpectedly good saison from Deschutes.

Taste: tart, notes of pear, apricot, oak, bright mouthfeel. Fruit and fermented nose. Golden hue, clear, with a white head and ringed lace. Light body. Slight odd notes. 22 IBUs

Found this on a store discount shelf, bottled in april of 2017 so this has been aged over two years.
Pours a beautiful bright golden color with lots of visible carbonation and a dense white head that sinks back to a thin film quickly.
Smell is pear and apricot with notes of vinous funk and oaky underbody. Really pleasant and much more enticing than I was expecting.
Taste has a much stronger tannic quality and some heavy white wine character. The same fruits are there put in a much thinner form. The brett funk is there on the tail end but not at all overpowering. Bright and spicy flavor overall but a little thin. improves in it's depth as it warms.
Mouthfeel is wonderfully light and effervescent. I am not a saison expert but this is what I expect from the style.
Overall I am surprised at how much I like this. I picked up two since they were marked over half off I figured I'd be salty if I liked it and didn't have another. Now I'm contemplating adding 45 minutes to my drive home on friday so I can pick up any bottles they have left. Lovely brew

Poured from a wax-topped bomber into a Dogfish Head tulip
L: Cloudy medium golden pour with 2 fingers of fizzy white head. Extra sediment at the finish.
S: Funk and oak... fruit, grass, and spice.
T.F: Tart (not sour) and fruity up front. Some light grains, white wine, oak, and pear. A little fruit sweetness comes through. More apple, grass, and pepper. Complex... definite barnyard and barrel flavor. Medium bodied and dry at the finish.
O: A well thought out complex saison. Very approachable... tart without being overly sour or harsh. Super drinkable.
