The appearance was a mostly clear somewhat golden yellow/orange body, two finger white foamy head that rises and falls and leaves a nice speckled spider web lacing left in the wake of the fall. The smell had some slightly spicey; slightly peppery; slightly malty - moreso as it warms, and just a bit of lemon thrown in there to finish an impressive aroma. The taste was a nice bitter thrill through citrusy tones yet still a semi-spiciness, citrus aftertaste, watery finish. The palate was about a light to medium and sessionable. Carbonation seems to be good for the style and for me. Overall, this was a wow beer for me as this is a very good American Blonde Ale.

2009 backlog. 12 oz bottle. Smells piney, citrusy, grainy. Pours cloudy gold with little head, good lacing. Tastes fruity--pineapple and mango definitely. Thin body, low carbonation, malt in the aftertaste. Different.

Blond pour, huge 1.5" head on it, white, lots of clarity. Aroma of almost nothing.

Taste, real light, minor hops that kind of jut out in a blonde. Pretty much only desireable during hot weather, spicy food or females.

Little disappointed in deschutes. Then again, it's an ale. Not a great beer but not not a bad ale.

Deschutes is fast becoming one my favorite brewers, first Chainbreaker, now this. Hazy golden with silky head, thick lacing and active fine carbonation make for a beautiful beer. Aroma is light but taste come on with a nice light malt profile and minor hops presence. The whole package makes for a smooth and easily drinkable beer.
