Darker golden than I might have guessed, with a faint hint of orange to it and creamy white head.

Seems like a well-balanced bit of malts and hoppiness on the nose - like a hoppy wheat - more citrus than I'd assumed.

I like this better than most reviewers seem to, given the aforementioned balance of hops and wheaty malts. Getting some candied sugar, orange rind, lemon oil, but nothing else really stands out.

A bit overly carbonated for me though - too much pop on the tongue to make it easily enjoyable.

Nice for a summer downer, but nothing out of the ordinary.

Pours a pale golden yellow color with litle head.

Not a strong smell verry light hops, and sweet malts.

Tatse is lots of sweet malts, some cirtus and hops.

Medium carbanation and body, balenced.

Very easy drinking summer beer, standard but enjoyable would be great for a day at the beach.

Serving type: 12-ounce bottle. The “BEST BY” date printed on the label is “11/08/13.”

Appearance: Poured into a pint glass. The color is gold with a light chill haze. A finger and a half of buttery, eggshell-colored head dissipates slowly.

Smell: Light and inviting. Pale malts, wheat, tangerine, subtle caramel, lemon, light pine resin, and a little grapefruit creeps in as the beer warms.

Taste: Light and dry, it mostly mirrors the aroma: pale malts, subtle caramel, tangerine, pine, lemon, and grapefruit. Light pepper spice is introduced at the end as the bitterness takes affect, and creamy vanilla emerges as well. Very surprising.

Drinkability: This is a good, tasty brew. Though on the lighter side, it offers a lot of flavor.

Poured from a 12oz bottle into a standard pint glass.

Nice golden yellow color, very nice head, white, which retained and left good lacing

Didn't get much on the smell, some faint sweetness. Beginning to think my nose isn't up to much.

Tried not to get over excited due to the smell, so first taste was a very nice surprise. I'm not usually much on summer beers, but this was tasty indeed, some sweet, some grassy tones, nice feel going down.

Mouthful was light and pleasant, can easily imagine downing a six pack on the back deck in August. abv 5.0

Overall, a very pleasant surprise, and will be on my summer list in future. Even the wife might like it.

Didn’t expect this to be labeled as a blond ale. Might as well call it a pale amber. I like it even more now.

This pours a golden toasted straw color with nice foaming. The foam dies down leaving some cotton in the glass. The aroma has a subdued straw-pine hop characteristic, with just the slightest whisper of a biscuity malt. A bitterness upfront has a pleasing straw note which tapers into a slightly piney finish. There’s a dry and lingering finish with the slightest hint of caramel sweetness. To be honest it’s a confusing mix of contrasting flavors with the hops and a touch of malt contrasting rather than complementing but I definitely enjoyed spending time with it.
