Poured an almost copper body with minimal head and lace ring down glass. The aroma had some caramel malt in there but mostly a dirty, piney hop aroma. Smooth, dry hop taste that has balance to eat thanks to malty goodness and is real easy to drink.

I've been drinking this since I moved to Oregon in '04. This is one of the best pale ales out there. Even though I'm a huge hop head, especially DIPA's, this is still a refreshing beer. This is one of those beers you always have stocked in the fridge along with your specialty ales. Smell is nothing special, but the taste is all around great in a pale. As with all Deschutes beers, another outstanding offering.

Billowy head over orangey body. Lotta lacing.

Flavor is light bright hops and buttermilk biscuits over a medium carbonated body.

Good and recomended.

A very clear, orange to amber beer. The foamy off white head leaves spotty lacing behind and a thin film of head stays for a long time as it is fed by the nucleation point of the glass. The aroma is malt forward and bready with faint citrus and pine in the background. The taste is malty and bready with some grapefruit and pine bitterness.

L: Poured from a bottle to a pint glass. Had a bright amber color and a clear texture. There was a half inch of foamy head that lasted an average amount of time. Pretty good lacing.

S: A decent enough of aroma of hops, citrus, pine, and some malt.

T: Tasted of a bit of pine, a decent amount of citrus elements (grapefruit, lemon), light malt notes, a decent amount of hops, a light metallic quality, and a light bready quality. A decent enough flavor that isn't quite as complex as it should be. However, it's light and easy to like.

F: A good amount of carbonation with a smooth, somewhat bitter finish. Light-bodied.

O: This beer is solid enough, but doesn't really stand out. That being said, it's worth a shot.

L- a little bit light but nice and clear
S- not that fragrant but nice hop and malt notes
T- starts with a nice citrus-heavy hop presence. Hops last a while then turns to sweetness from the crystal malt. The malty finish is great with very slight roasted character.
O- what I look for in a pale ale. Deschutes has hit the balance that is so hard to hit between hop and malt. Awesome beer.
