L-Pours a golden clear color with finger length of head that fades after a few minutes.
S- floral happiness predominantly some citrus hints as well.
T- grapefruit fruit mostly, some orange, lemon
F- stays on the tongue for a while

Overall- for what it is at a 4.5 abv session ipa it is a great beer that's not gonna get you into trouble.
One of the better beers under 5%

I'm a big Deschutes fan. This one seems like a good idea, and has a great scent with some decent flavors at the front. The trouble I had was mostly with the aftertaste.

L - nice, golden, nothing too dramatic.
S - this was my favorite part of the beer. Usually I pick taste over smell. But this one had subtle lemon and maybe mango scent without the pith aftertaste that comes through in the taste.
T - promising up front with citrusy fruit, but the aftertaste especially on the back of the tongue got a bit bitter, and more in a rindy way than a hoppy way. It did *not* wreck the experience for me--just dampened my expectations.
O - still quite refreshing and enjoyable, just not one I'd need again. I liked the lemon concept in theory but will reach back for Deschutes Fresh Squeezed and its more balanced fruit, even though that beer is admittedly a few bucks more.

Hopslice pours a hazy golden color, with a small lacing head. Sweet aroma, with hints of lemon. Taste is mildly hoppy, sweeter, and a little fruity. Good body and feel. Overall, decent session ale, mild flavors, sweeter and fruitier.

This beer is not one I would drink again. It tasted like lemon water in beer. Diluted dish soap with some pine hops as an afterthought. Not worth it in my opinion.

This is a really good summer ale. I'm surprised it didn't garner a higher review. I was a bit hesitant to buy it because of the 'lemon' on the label description. But this is really tasty. Drinking in Boise on a 100 degree day. Didn't want to get anything too hoppy. Very floral and very well balanced. Glad Deschutes is found in Idaho.

Light golden color with nice head and sporadic spotty lacing. Aromas of lemon and light malt. Taste is refreshing with tastes of lemon, lemongrass, some malt and a light background of bitter hops. Mouth feel is good and slightly crisp and finish is fairly clean with lemon, lemon rind and some malt at the end.

A pretty likeable little session IPA w/ a well put together body (so common an issue in these sorts of brews). The Meyer Lemon addition is really subtle, certainly taking 2nd stage to the hops, which give some nice floral/citrus notes off the top. Again, the malt profile is well done, neither too sweet nor too hollow, giving just enough bready/crackery backing to make this one crisply drinkable. Well done, Deschutes.

Had this on draft at the Tap House in Plainfield IL.
Poured into a large snifter.
A - Pours a clear orange with an inch of head.
S - The aroma has hints of grapefruit.
T - Only a little bit of grapefruit is the flavor with some bitterness.
M - Medium mouth feel and carb.
O - For me, the word "session" has become synonymous with average. And everyone seems to be rushing to make them. I understand the brewers are trying to win over some of macro beer drinkers. You can call it a pale ale or session IPA, it's a letdown either way.

Decided to get this one before it vanished completely, seeing as that it's a limited brewski.

L : It starts off pouring orangish, like an orange gummi bear held up to the light. Head is super thick and tall, 4 fingers to start, and takes a couple of minutes to recede to a proper level for drinking. Opacity is 10%.

S : I don't detect anything outside of an ordinary IPA aroma. Orange peel, soft malts, pine resin.

T : Pretty resiny. Some lemon rinds, lemon seeds, and pine pretty much lead off, with a base of caramel malts and some bread/cornbread aftertones. As it warms slightly, some orange kool-aid or fanta notes come out...reminds me of Seeradler's Orange Shandy. Some dish soapy notes kind of linger here and there.

F : Nice feel, creamy and carbonated, buzzing and mild finish.

O : Wasn't expecting much, but easily one of Deschute's weakest offerings. Most definitely this is my last one.

Bottle poured into a BarrelHouse Brewing Co pint glass

A: Pours golden amber with a frothy eggshell head that settles to a light layer and leaves some nice lacing.

S: Floral, citrus, lemon dominates, faint fruity notes, crackery malt, and a hint of sweetness.

T: Citrus, lots of lemon, hints of grapefruit, floral notes, faint fruity notes, crackery malt, and just a touch of sweetness.

M: Light to medium body, moderate carbonation.

O: I wish some of the Galaxy and Amarillo came through more, but still a solid summer session IPA.
