Always gave to try a Deschutes... However, lagers are not my go to, so I can't fairly rate this. As for the style, this is a good selection, but I wouldn't normally buy this. Came in a twelve variety for only $12! Has 4 Black Buttes... Can't go wrong there! Ha ha

12oz bottle - good name for a brew from Bend, I gotta say. An odd time of the year to introduce this product around here, IMHO.

This beer pours a slightly hazy, pale golden yellow colour, with three flabby fingers of puffy, rocky, and chunky dirty white head, which leaves some streaky snow rime lace around the glass as it slowly yet surely dissipates.

It smells of gritty and grainy pale malt, a bit of biscuity cereal, muddled citrus and pome fruity notes, and some earthy, leafy, and grassy green hop bitters. The taste is bready and crackery pale malt, some melon-forward fruitiness, a hint of juicy citrus peel, and more tame leafy, weedy, and grassy verdant hoppiness.

The carbonation is adequate in its structurally sound frothiness, the body a so-so medium weight, and mostly smooth, nothing really getting out of line at this particular juncture. It finishes trending dry, the malt maintaining a cereal stance, and the hops trailing along for the lingering ride.

Overall, this is a tasty enough and straightforward craft lager, easy to drink and somewhat refreshing. I could see putting back a few of these on a warm day on a patio overlooking a river, whether it be in Edmonton, or in the pleasant burg from whence this beer came.

Not an unappetizing spin on a lager, awful pretty looking thing with a big, pillowy head that lasts, crystal clear sunny yellow body. Some lager yeast in the nose, grainy malt, nice. Bit of hop oil sneaking in on the palate, herbal and maybe very lightly citric, not very bready, the malt not super characterful, but, again, nothing untoward and totally enjoyable. A fine beer for summer evenings on the porch.

Pacific Wonderland Lager brewed by Deschutes Brewery, with an ABV of 5.50% This American Pale Ale pours out a a nice golden amber color with a nice white head. There is also a decent amount of lacing to this brew, it sticks to the side of the glass well. The smell of Pacific Wonderland Lager is rich with earthy grains and malts. There is also a nice mild sweetness, possibly fruits, and the hops are really mild in the smell of this brew. Now for the taste it is Bold but smooth with flavors. You first pick up on a mild sweetness with a nice amount of grains and malts. The hops are really mild in the taste of Pacific Wonderland Lager. The body of Pacific Wonderland Lager is a solid medium. There is nothing overpowering about this brew, it has a super nice balance to it. This American Pale Ale would go nice on a warm summer day. The mouth feel is Some, Bold, Clean , Smooth and Refreshing. Overall I'm giving Pacific Wonderland Lager a 4.25 out of 5. I would definitely look this brew up again giving the opportunity to. Deschutes Brewery, did a nice job with American Pale Ale.

Bottle poured into a Mountain Rambler Brewing Co pint glass

A: Pours golden yellow with a frothy egg shell white head that settles to a firm layer and leaves some nice lacing.

S: Grassy, zesty citrus, a little spice, backed with light crackery malt.

T: Bright, mild herbal tones, grassy, floral, citrus zest, lemon, grapefruit, a hint of tangerine, a little spice, and crackery malt.

M: Light to medium body, moderate carbonation.

O: I gotta say, I'm not a big straight forward lager guy, but I'm digging these craft takes on the style. This one is a day brightener for sure.

A: Pours a relatively clear pale to medium golden yellow in color with slightly heavier than moderate amounts of active visible carbonation rising from the bottom of the glass and faint pale yellow colored highlights. The beer has a two finger tall foamy white head that reduces to a medium to large sized patch of medium tick film surrounded by a large patch of thin film covering the remainder of the surface of the beer and a medium thick ring at the edges of the glass. Moderate amounts of lacing are observed.

S: Just shy of moderate aromas of lightly toasted cereal grain malts with a light amount of sweetness, moderate aromas of fruity yeast (white grape + pear), and light grassy + citrus/orange zest hops.

T: Upfront there is a just shy of moderate flavor of lightly toasted cereal grain malts with a light hint of grainy sweetness. That is followed by light to moderate flavors of fruity yeast (white grape + pear). Finally there are light flavors of grassy + citrus/orange zest hops towards the finish which contribute a light amount of bitterness which fades away pretty quickly leaving a clean finish.

M: Medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Initially slightly crisp with a light amount of dryness and a clean finish.

O: Easy to drink and enjoyable with well hidden alcohol. I could easily have a couple of these.

Porsche to a cloudy light yellow slightly oranges not very much had and very little leasing on the glass definitely a lager for sure for some reason I seem to sense some Pine notes in there plenty of hops but not too much for those that don't like a real hoppy beer and just enough Citrus to let you know that it's a little different than your typical lager

Poured 12oz bottle into pint glass. Cloudy pale yellow with a 3 finger foamy white head. Aroma of mild citrus hops first, then mild malt, grain and some grass. Flavor has some lemon zest along with citrus, but the malt is predominant along with some grain and a touch of spicy hops. Clean and refreshing for a pleasant lager.

12oz bottle best before 10/15/17

Great look, fine sediment and a sticky cap of white foam. Smell is cooked wheat and grassy hops. Taste is great but has a sweet and off-tasting finish, almost skunky. Otherwise the dank, juicy hops pair well with the gritty wheat flavor

I don't know if it's supposed to taste like this or I got an off bottle

EDIT: got an off bottle, had it again and no skunk

Just really disappointed in this beer. When I buy a lager I want something that tastes at least similar to a lager. This beer tastes like any other pale ale. If I want a pale ale I'll buy one.

This is pretty meh for me. I've definitely had worse beers and I'm rating based on "good" beers. It's just ok. You wouldn't deny it, but if someone had this or Deschutes Juicy...Juicy is pretty awesome. This is just ok. Ok isn't bad...just alright.
