Pours a clear yellow with a thick white head that dissipates quickly but leaves great lacing. The aroma is citrusy and the flavor follows suit with a nice hop bite. Has a "noble hop" aftertaste. Well carbonated and crisp feel. Nice beer.

BBD 12/5/17. Clear golden pour. Outstanding head volume, lacing and retention.

Light, but nice, nose of toasted malt and a touch of yeast and hops. The hop notes are light, in some cases quite subtle, but lemon and orange zest emerge.

Heavy light body with a texture that is somewhat smooth. The carbonation / body balance is quite outstanding. The middle provides an effervescent finely bubbled burst for flavor separation. The finish falls just short of rollicking and tickles the tongue.

The flavor profile is very good. Intensity is outstanding for a lager. Balance is outstanding while complexity is very good. The base is slightly sweet and toasty complete with some graininess. Over the sweetness the hops emerge, especially from the middle on. Some orange, grape and other light sweet fruit. Bitterness is mild and fades quickly although a zest note lingers. The finish is fairly clean.

This is what I've always wanted. A hoppy lager. There's very few of them, and this one if an excellent example.

Bought a 6-pack $7.99 Times Supermarket
Golden color
Light-medium mouthfeel
Medium carbonation
Malt flavors with some bitterness
Overall an ok beer. It is what I think domestic macro beers should taste like, but I don't think there is enough there there to justify a premium price especially when compared to other Deschutes beers that are great.
