Poured into Duvel tulip glass. Look is a pleasant orange copper. Nice two finger tan head, nice retaining lace on glass. Nose is more malt than citrus or pine. Taste is malty balanced with great hops and more malty aftertaste. Overall a really nice amber ale - one of my favorite ambers - a very nice diversion from the IPA's I normally imbide.

Amber color, medium tan head...not much of aroma...typical amber taste, mostly malt but a little bit of hops, nothing to speak

Poured into a DFH glass a pretty nice clean/clear dark reddish/amber color, pretty nice carbonation, with a pretty nice thick/creamy one-finger off-white head, which also leaves some pretty nice sticky lacing behind. The nose is hoppy, malty, with a nice little citrus complex (orange, tangerine, grapefruit), slight pine. The taste is pretty nice, hoppy, malty, with a nice little citrus complex (orange, tangerine, grapefruit), piney. Medium body, ABV is hidden nicely, with a nice little dry/bitter finish. Overall, a pretty tasty brew from Deschutes.

Poured from a bottle into a glass.
This is a mighty fine red ale, especially if you are ina more hoppy mood.
Pours is cloudy orange amber. Nice head and lacing. A bright hop aroma with a sweet caramel undertone. A touch of alcohol and fruitiness. Taste has a palatable hop bitterness upfront with a caramel malt character, sweet dried apricots, and fruity tea. Medium body.
