Orange-Amber in color. Slight sticky head, mostly just lace around the rim. Beer is a little hazy.

Aroma is citrus, spice, and pine, a whole mix of hops aromas layered on top of one another. Very deep and complex. Excellent to quaff.

Slight malt backbone with a piney bitter finish that lingers on the tongue. Flavor is balanced, crisp, and refreshing.

Mouthfeel is full and sticky.

Overall an enjoyable IPA. I like the aroma of this beer the best. It is a little on the sweet side which balances the hops very nicely.

Best By date is about 6 weeks from now.

A: Crystal clear. Color is dark copper to light brown. Thick creamy head that leaves lacing with each sip.

S: Malty more than hops. Mostly pine and dank aromas. Minimal citrus.

T: Piney and resinous. Sweet. Very malt forward for an IPA. The beer offers complexity as the flavor changes from sweet, to floral, to a lingering bitter finish.

M: Thick, sweet and resinous. Carbonation is middle of the road for an IPA.

O: It's okay, but it's a little syrupy for my IPA tastes. Also I think the hop flavor, while quite present, is 1-dimensional.

EDIT: There is a grocery store in town that has an excellent beer selection. I've made it my goal to drink through every IPA they have. I guess I forgot i bought this one before because I had already written a review. After re-tasting, I couldn't change this review a bit.

This is one of my go to IPAs. Sipping one of these at their brewpub while hitch hiking through Bend was a highlight for me as a beer drinker. This was the beer in fact that got me into IPAs in the first place. Drink up! And do visit the brewpub if youre ever in or near Bend!

A well balanced and enjoyable IPA

aroma: pine, malty citrus, grapefruit.

taste: pine, caramel, citrus, grapefruit and slight spice

Very drinkable - a lot going for it and one that you could drink a lot of. Not the best IPA on the market but very soild.

Appearance: Hazy orange/amber with thick white head that settles into lacy skiff and ring. Fine lacing rides along side of glass. Moderate carbonation. Haze begins to clear as it warms.

Aroma: Banana and pear with citrus notes. Ethanol. Bready malt in background.

Taste: Caramel, biscuit and pine. Finishes with resony bitterness and sticky sweetness.

Mouthfeel: Malty with a bit of astringency.

Overall: Well balanced and tasty. It does have a homebrew quality to it ... meaning flavors arent as integrated as I would expect.

Poured into glass with good head and retention

Hops and citrus aroma, very pleasant

Well balanced for a strong hop IPA

Mouthfeel pleasant but a shade less rich than some

Great beer overall, needed to have a few times before I really appreciated it, will have again for sure.
