look: 4.25 | smell: 3.25 | taste: 3.5 | feel: 3.75 | overall: 3.5

A: copper/shiny body, finger off-white head,
amazing lacing

S: chalky floral, grassy

T: lemon peel/grass, earthy malt, light floral,
grassy bitter finish

M: med body, oily/slick mouth

O: Like this style and brewery, but not
huge fan of the chalky/floral hop taste/nose.

PROBABLY GOOD; NOT MY THING!

A - Dark red/brown body with off-white 1-2 finger foam head.

S - Faint earthy / pine hop aromas dominate.

T - Nice amount of hops, but balance seems a little off. Lingers a bit.

M - Okay carbonation and texture.

O - Decent and drinkable IPA. It doesn't seem like there are a lot of breweries that can do both a world class porter or stout and a really good IPA. Keep working on the IPAs Deschutes.

look: 4 | smell: 3.5 | taste: 4 | feel: 4.5 | overall: 4.5

Poured from a brown 12 oz. bottle with date code clearly marked and into a pint glass and got one finger on head.

A: Pours a dark amber and almost copper color. I get one finger on head and the froth dissipates at a medium rate to a little more than just a ring around the glass but to not quite covering the entire top of the glass with froth to the end. Some nice lacing left on the glass.

S: Malts are prevalent and then some pineapple and orange with pine winning at the end.

T: Mostly hops is what I taste upfront. This is not in your face but definitely there and balanced with the malt.

M: This is medium carbonated and it goes down good and very smooth.

O: I like this beer and I wish I had another one. I will definitely have this one again. It is not overly piney or tastes too much like pine resin. It is easy to drink. I recommend it.
