On-tap (1/2 pint) at the pub, a special tap handle above the bar. Menu states this is the Mirror Pond Pale Ale aged in French Oak barrels for 6 weeks.

A: Robust ruby copper color with a minimal white head and thin lacing. Somewhat darker than the regular Mirror Pond.

S: Strong hop smell of citrus zest. Some caramel malt, but not really the oaky notes I expected.

T: The slightly woody flavor of oak is notable in the taste. Mellowed hops with a nice malt sweetness. Flavors seem more intense compared to regular MP.

M: A good lingering tang fro the bittering hops. Medium body with a viscous, slightly thick mouthfeel. Interesting.

D: An enjoyable beer & well worth a try. Seemed a little to heavily carbonated & thick, not as crisp/clean as I expected. A good experiment to age in oak; a discernable difference in flavor & texture results.
