Fresh HazeFresh Haze
Notes: Introducing Fresh Haze IPA, our newest IPA is hazy with a chance of obsession. The flavor explodes in your mouth with notes of orange citrus sweetness and a soft malt body. Carrying both citrus and tropical fruit from Mandarina, Amarillo and Simcoe hops…OJ for days.

Can. White head with some lace. Hazy orange gold color.

Smooth and easy drinking. Simple hazy, but nice. Orange, mango, passionfruit. Soft. Earthy hops. Light bitterness.

LOOK: Pours a moderately to heavy hazy orange, displaying a tight snow white head. Retention is quite good and the side glass lace is plentiful
AROMA: Citrus tones of orange and tangerine along with some bread malts.
TASTE: This is a juicy brew. quite orange with some pine resin adding and mildly bitter. For the style the hops are not strong which for my palate is preferred.
Easy drinking New England IPA.

Deschutes, Descores!!! This is the best Haze out there right now 2nd only to Double Mind haze. Such a good citrus, tropical and hazy flavor. I tried alot of Haze IPA's and this one is highly underrated. I'd put it in the top 3 category when it comes to Haze IPA's. Double Mind Haze, Deschutes and then original Mind Haze. Hard to find just like the Double mind Haze if you find a pack I recommend getting either of these.

Not bad, but not super impressive either. Still it's nice we're getting Deschutes here in NJ now. If love to get my hands on some Black Butte porter.

Pours a hazy dark honey color with a white head that dissipates quickly. The smell is less intense than expected but it has notes of oranges and mangoes with hints of pine on the finish. The taste follows the nose, and its more bitter than expected for a Hazy but I like that about it. It's not ridiculously high in alcohol content nor is it too heavy. It goes down super smoothly and I could have a few of these. Overall pretty good.

12oz bo'le

Looks great, hazed up and laced up, ready to scrimmage. Smells funky, taste is bitter and soft and juicy. Drinks very good and leaves a pleasant aftertaste

Deschutes always makes great beer

I give this beer a 6.9 out of 10 my way.
More full bodied than the squeezed.
Live yeast was an interesting concept and left one to wonder as to the taste. I wasn't disappointed but not one of the best.

Pouring a dark orange, akin to the color of the can. A tall foamy 2 inch head forms, fully carbonated. Hazy alright, not cloudy.
Pungent orange fruit, nearly as sweet smelling as Hi-C. A lemony backbone and maybe a touch flaked oat or wheat. A minor mix between booze and acetate, I’ll give ot the benefit of the doubt.
Orange juice, straight up. As advertised on the can. The 45 ibu does nothing against the explosion of tropic juice. It is malty balanced. No bread or cake felling. Not acidic, but soft and smooth as a NEIPA. Like a milky mimosa, only better. Upon tasting, i certainly think oat was an addition.
I would certainly drink this again and order it on tap. A great hazy without fancy bells and whistles. OJ.
Deschutes Fresh Haze would pir well with fresh Mediterranean bowls or southwest cuisine.

Pretty similar to fresh squeezed which makes sense since the only difference is this is a hazy. Lots of citrus notes which makes this a very refreshing summer beer.

Enjoyable but not remarkable. Lemon sherbet flavors and aroma, nice spicy hop bite, tactile juicy and creamy mouthfeel with crunchy carbonation. After the hops bite it devolves a bit into a sour or tart twang until you take the next sip. A decent sipper. One or two would be enough before moving on to something else.

Canned 4/15/21
Slightly hazy orange tinted golden swirl pushes ample foam. Very good retention with light layered lacing.
Nose pumps lemon, orange, grass, and a mild crackery grain notes.
Flavor follows nicely. But there's an earthy (almost resiny) bitterness that closes out after the citrus burst.
Mouthfeel is light to medium, carbonation that is alive enough, and kinda slick on the backside.
Overall, solid.

Can to snifter; Happy Fathers Day.

LOOK: hazy yellowish orange. medium creamy khaki head, fades quick, but very good retention.

AROMA: citrus, grass, mild strength of aroma.

TASTE: juicy citrus, big orange and tangerine, light hints of grapefruit and lime. Spice hint in finish (coriander?

FEEL: slight acidic bite but pretty smooth. Light to medium body.

Very tasty juicy IPA. Similar to what I remember about Fresh Squeezed, but this is probably a touch better.

Body is moderately hazy with a rich foamy head. Aroma of orange zest, mandarin, and tangerine. Taste is slightly fruity though a little light in fruit character. The malt base is supportive and has a slight sweet juiciness. Easy to drink but lacks the character of their west coast IPA's.

Sampled a big can (almost 20oz) that I got for less than $2. Score!!!

Pours a dirty straw color with about a finger of head. The nose has a bit of citrus accompanied by some dankness. The flavors has a hint of sweet tropical fruits. The finish is mildly bitter.

Fresh Haze IPA is a hazy, deep orange colored ale, sort of the color of peach marmalade. The head is rocky, off white, and has some decent retention to it.
At first blush, Fresh Haze's aroma is a one-two punch of malt and American hops. The malt is bready and yeasty, with supporting hints of caramel. There's a brief sweetness to the aroma, not quite honey, not quite orange marmalade. That brief sweetness moves quickly into full blown orange juice combined with orange zest before moving into a nicely balanced finish.
On the tongue, first impressions are of an IPA that is smooth, rounded, and refreshing. Hop profile is more citrus and less pine than other beers of this style which helps with the refreshing quality. Bready malts and hints of caramel lay the foundation for a very citrus oriented hop profile. Hop flavors are almost chewy in nature, giving lots of ripe orange with supporting hints of orange zest. Finish is lightly bitter.
It could be argued that this is a very simple, straightforward sort of New England IPA. I think Deschutes owns that straightforward nature, giving me an IPA that is full of citrus when so many other beers of this style are heavy on the malts and the pine. Fresh Haze is flavorful, possessed of its own character, and a great IPA to have on a hot summer day or indeed, any time.
