Deschutes is definitely winning on this brew. With a soothing blend of Simcoe, Mandarina, and Amarillo, these guys/gals are like the Blues Brothers (on a mission from GAHD, my dudes and dudettes). Finely tuned carbonation with a resinous finish lead to a better time such as beating you best friend in a Super Smash Bros game.

From a single 12 oz can into a willibecher, this isn't much of a NEIPA, but it has some nice bright splashy citrus, some citrus-spiciness that I tend to associate with Amarillo and some faint but dank earthiness. Doesn't entirely hang together in a way that sings, but...the different parts are nice on their own. All in all, it is fairly light but still good flavor, with decent bready malt in the background. Body, all told, is a little thin for me and the finish is kind of nondescript, except for a little spiciness.

Pours a burnt orange, hazy but not opaque, two fingers of slowly settling creamy foam, plenty of lace. Smell: tangerine, orange oil. Lots of orange citrus, not much else. Taste: orange creamsicle into tangerine juice, a little rind with pine peeking thru towards the finish. Creamy / fluffy / sugary feel. Will scratch that orange juice fix, but otherwise one note. Stovepipe best by 02/2019.

Hazy oranger gold with thick head and good lacing. Citrus-forward hop aroma with orange and a little floral. The orange is pretty strong in flavor, if not quite an explosion. Somewhat earthy. There's a moderate amount of malt flavor as the citrus starts to recede. Lighter bitterness, moderate-to-heavy sweetness. Smooth.

Picked up a stovepipe single from the Kings Beer & Wine cooler on 9-5-18 for $2.99. Best before 12-15-18; cold stored since purchase.

Beer poured a hazy orange with a nice white head that has some nice hang time and is leaving some lacing.

Nose is fresh oranges, so very nice!

Taste is fresh oranges over a smaller malt base finishing with a nice moderate rind bite.

Mouthfeel is creamy, smooth, yet refreshing.

Overall not sure this is a true NEIPA but it sure is a tasty West meets East brew!
