Look-This NWPA pours a brilliant orange copper color with a one finger thick foamy head. The lacing is sparse, but thin and moist.

Smell-The aroma is full of pine and apricot, but I also get a caramel-based malt.

Taste-The flavor is bright and full of evergreen forest pine, citrus like apricot and orange peel zest, and then finishes with a hop resin coating. It has a well-balanced flavor and a great fizzy carbonation level. The alcohol content, 6.2%, gives an added bite to the pine. The mouthfeel is medium-bodied, sticky, and juicy.

Overall-This is a great beer and is expertly crafted by our friends from Deschutes. Cheers!

Bottle to pint glass. Pours a beautiful amber color, medium light brown head without too much persistence, just a bit of lacing. Fantastic hops aroma - smells like a coniferous forest. Taste - dominant hops on the front, but surprisingly low aftertaste. The bottle suggests a "clean finish" and I get what they mean - goes down very easy for a pale ale. Delicious & highly drinkable.

Poured from a bottle into a tulip glass. Clear deep amber color with a nice beige head and great lacing. Piney smell. The taste is earthy with citrus and pine. Well balanced. Hint of bitterness in the finish. Very nice beer!

This beer has a totally different taste and appearance. The favor is one the best IPA's I have ever experienced. In a chilled glass this beer is premium in favor with a fine looking head. My only complaint is I cannot find it in a half or pony keg size.

It's a more of a ruddy amber than a red, but it is a great color and slightly cloudy. It's got a little less than a finger of slightly creamy tan head. It has light retention but still manages to leave swathes of sticky lacing. The aroma is fruity sweet and floral. The taste is much the same with a little bitter hops on the finish. The body is lighter and easy drinking with just a slight tingle.

Red check, bitter hops check. This is a great twist on the IPA. Has a decent nose of hops, very little head but what there is/was light brown. Overall good beer.
