Pours a clear reddish orange with a 1/2 inch tan head that ends in a ring around the glass. Mild hops and caramel smell and taste. A good, malty pale ale. I could drink a few of these.

Pours a hazy copper color. 1/3 inch head of an off-white color. Good retention and good lacing. Smells of resin, caramel malt, sweet malt, tea, earthiness, slight piney hops, and spicy hops. Fits the style of an American Pale Ale. Mouth feel is smooth and clean, with a low carbonation level. Tastes of resin, caramel malt, sweet malt, tea, alcohol, slight yeast, earthiness, slight piney hops, and spicy hops. Overall, good body, appearance, and feel, but blend favors the alcohol unfavorably.

This is one of my favorite pale ales, in the top 3. I have consumed cases of it, so this is not a flippant rating based on one sample, like some do. It is surprisingly dark for a pale ale: light brown, with a touch of red. Average head, which lingers quite a while. The taste is clean, with just the right level of hops for a pale ale (more than average, I'd say). The malt is well-balanced, enough to gain one's attention without overwhelming. Overall, plenty of flavor but smooth and easy to drink.

An interesting northwest IPA with a malty finish. The beer Poor's with a strong foamy head. You can smell the pine presence and pick up on that along with a perfect malt finish. Great beer - a nice hoppy red ale.
