This fine ale was poured into a tulip glass; it poured a pale white, orange color; hazy like a Belgian wit/saison. A nice fluffy 2 finger head; decent retention. Minimal lace left on glass.

The aroma consisted of pine, flowers, grapefruit, some orange peel, and a touch of spice. Perhaps traces of wheat/dough were in the aroma as it warmed a bit.

It tasted like piney hops, grass and spices, coriander, orange, citrus, and sweet wheat malt; doughy. Upon the initial sip it was sweet and flowery, and the aftertaste had a subtle dryness mixed with a bit of orange and pine.

The mouthfeel was light, which makes it a perfect summer beer. It had a smooth quality that was refreshing and quite satisfying. Perfect amount carbonation; just enough to quench your thirst. Very drinkable and fresh. Overall, I felt like I was drinking a Belgian witbier, saison, or even a German hefe because of the spice and coriander that is quite common in those beer styles. I think this particular beer's style is interesting; it lives up to its name for sure; the combination of an IPA and a witbier definitely hits the spot. I could easily knock back a couple of these at a summer bbq. Solid beer, give it a try.

From a 355 ml bottle (dated September 24, 2014) into a nonic.

A-The beer is hazy and very light in color--like a white hefeweizen almost. The head is short and white with good retention, but no real lacing. It doesn't look like an IPA, but it DOES look like a white IPA.

S-The aroma is citrusy (lemon and orange flavors), fresh, and slightly sweet (not sugary sweet, but not dry or crisp). There is a bit of spice and some dough. The whole packages is not very IPA-like, but not unpleasant.

T-The taste is similar, but a touch lighter on the citrus. There is spice, dough, some grassy flavors and a mild orange flavor. Not much in the way of "Belgian" flavor, e.g., funk or Belgian yeast here.

M-The heft is light to medium for the style with a moderate carbonation.

O-This beer leans more toward the "white" side of a white IPA. At times, I think I'm drinking a wit beer, actually. As a result, the score suffers a bit since I would expect a bit more hops to make this a true IPA. Style-guideline criticism notwithstanding, the beer is refreshing and easy to drink on a hot summer day.
