Another tap exclusive to the Bend Brewpub, a hopped-up brown ale, coming in at 71 IBU, as per the menu.

This beer appears a hazy dark golden brown hue, with one finger of creamy off-white head, which leaves a drooping curtain of lace around the glass in its wake. It smells of nutty caramel cream, and bitter citrus rind hops. The taste is more nutty malt, a bit of toffee, and scaled back bitter citrus and leafy hops. The carbonation is a bit less than average, the body medium weight and fairly smooth. It finishes consistently, the sweet nuttiness and bitter leafiness abounding.

They got what they strove for - a PNW-style hopped brown ale, with both components holding up their side of the deal. Nice and drinkable, a subtle change of pace for this strung-out hophead.
