Notes:
Like fresh powder, it’s a seize-the-moment thing. This year we've chased down Virgil Gamache Farms' famed Amarillo hops. At harvest, we rush the hops from the vine to our kettles to ensure we capture the purest, juiciest essence of the hop flower in every beer. Enjoy the bright, bold aroma and flavor that comes but once a year.

Pours into an imperial pint glass a dull lighter golden with a very well defined almost creamy-like sticky white head, great definition and lacing from the top.Floral and citric notes in the nose along with some mint, faint sweet booze is dtected as well.Flavors of hop complexity first off I get some sweet onion and mango with lesser pine underneath,a sweet biscuit base along with some boozy sweetness in the finish, but not overly sweet.Wow alot of subtle complexities here makes for a very good "big" IPA,well done.

22 oz bottle, best by 12/27/12. Pours clear light straw yellow with a medium frothy white head that goes to a thin film and leaves some lacing.
The aroma is grainy, slightly vegetal, malts and grassy metallic hops.
The flavor is sweet vegetal biscuity malts with a good sized grassy (slightly minty) bitterness in the finish. There's a bit of a charred hop aftertaste. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with smooth carbonation.
Overall, not my cup of tea. Vegetal, biscuity malts with grassy hops.

Pours a surprising crystal clean light golden with thin, clean silky white head. Pilsner?
Nose: apricots, peaches, bubble gum, green herbal note, tangerine, sweet Hawaiian bread
Taste: follows nose with juicy apricots and stone fruit, sweet Hawaiian bready malt backbone fresh pine and bright tangerine and orange, turns resiny with wood, pine, and a lingering resiny hop oil, with a toasty resiny and fruity finish
Feel: light bodied, drinkable, juicy, fresh, resiny
Great beer. I love me some fresh hops, I'd rank this pretty high among the many I've had. Much more juicy and fruity, in true Deschutes fashion, as opposed to earthy and "green", but still some nice fresh hop oiliness to it

Served in straight pint glass. Poured a clean, clear, bright pale yellow color with about 3/4 of an inch of white head that had decent retention and very, very light lacing.
The aroma had a low malt profile and a nice dose of earthy hops that had a slight lemony scent. The taste followed along nicely, lots of hops, but not in the tongue ripping manner of so many fresh hopped brews. This beer is actually rather subtle.
The body was crisp, clean and had a nicely dry finish. Drinkability was excellent, if I didn't have to go to work in an hour, I'd have a few more of these. Overall, a very nice brew that's a must try if you see it.

Poured from bomber bottle into pint. Pours a straw goldenn color with foamy white head. Very fresh and crisp hop aroma. Taste is crisp fresh hop and good malty backbone. It easy to drink, mild, but flavorful. Its a nice brew. Not amazing but all around good.

Bright gold body, rather still, two fingers of sticky white head. Nice to look at, but far from "fresh hop" by appearance.
Loads of bready citrus and toasted grains, mellow tangerine notes, simple syrup, faint toffee notes, some mango shows itself but gets overwhelmed by citric and earthy notes. Still very appealing I think.
Incredibly smooth... no discernible bitter bite or hop sting, pleasantly tame fruit character, mild caramel qualities, quite balanced. Maybe my palate is fried but this one is easy to slurp.
Nice.

Imbibed at Post No Bills on 10/20/12.
Extra pale and clear with little head because the pour was so close to the top of the tumbler. Looks like a pils. Smells very sweet, nectar-like with some lemon tang. Some thick grassy aroma from the hops, an aroma very well known to fresh hop lovers. Taste is very crisp and clean, slightly nutty, then the bitterness takes over. It's floral and sweet, then vinous and bark-like. Reminds me of grass a bit. Body is light and finish is dry.
This is a big "meh" for me. It's so light that there isn't much to talk about. Put some flavor into this beer!
