This place is a convenience store that is attached to a gas station so you get a few people going in for gas, lottery tickets, etc... It also means that the staff is more or less informed on beers. There were 2 women there, one knew some things while the other knew nothing.

The selection is fairly good though they lacked Broadway Pub and didn't seem to have all the Charlevoix beers though they had Hibernus & Lupulus. Everything else they seemed to have. They were out of Trou du Diable but will get some more in shortly. I'd say half the beer is at room temp. Prices seemed within range.

This place would be better except La Barik is much better in terms of customer service and has more availability.

An average place to buy beer in Quebec based on where I have been. Decent enough selection, but quite secondary to Montreal's several very good shops. This is a profitable and substantial part of the southern tip of this major throughfare for the town of 32,000. The one beer expert, and you must know some basic French to navigate here, would take out any random bottle of the manufacturer rather than the specific bottle. So there is a desire to be of service, but knowledge is not there. La Barik down the street may be missing one or two of the beers because of its turnover and service and knowledge, but its wrth the extra five minute drive.

Marché du Boisé claims to have the largest beer selection in Québec. I haven't been to all of the beer stores in Québec, so I can't verify their claim. But of the stores I have been to, it has by far the largest selection of micros. And I doubt there's another store in Trois-Rivières that even comes close.

There are several cool things about this store that make it a must-stop for BAs:
- They have a great selection (they say over 200 different beers/300 different bottles, but I didn't count)
- They have many of the beers in different formats: 12oz, bomber, 750ml, 3L.
- They offer just about everything in singles.
- They have free copies of their inventory list.
- They have a good selection of brewery glassware (over 100 kinds, they say).
- Best of all, their inventory seems to be about 70% Québec micros, 25% imports and maybe 5% macros (I'm guessing, of course, and I wasn't really looking for macros).

So if you're in Trois-Rivières (or even driving past it on your way between Montréal and Québec), you should really stop in. And it's a gas station/dépanneur, so you can fill up and buy just about anything else you need there too (fresh cheese curds... mmm).

I sound like a dang commercial, but this really is the place for Québec micros.
