This is more or less a blend of the Oude Kriek and Scarenbecca that debuted in 2015.

Deep scarlet crimson color, intense and saturated. Thin layer of audibly crackling froth, pinkish color, quickly settling. After a few minutes it's fairly placid with a few clinging bubbles around the edges.

Aroma is intense and rich, bursting with dark cherries and a light acidity. Peripheral Brett funk.
Taste is intense puckering and juicy, mouthwatering sour cherries that have a nice depth of flavor. Dry tannic finish.
Light carbonation though it's certainly present, this is intentional and traditional.

Overall this is a fantastic blend using Schaerbeek cherries which lend depth and intensity.
Also a bit more affordable than Scarenbecca, which exclusively uses Schaerbeek cherries.

Bottle. Pink head. Raspberry ruby red color.

Vinegar and acidity. So sour and tart. Mouth puckering. Classic hanssens sourness. Vinegar and some brett funk. Cherries are there but hard to get past the sour. Very tough to drink.

Intense, dark pink color with a slightly pink, thin foam. Aroma has some mellow earthy funk and tart cherry notes. Taste starts fruity up-front, quite sour but not really mouth puckering. You also get the underlying earthy, barnyard notes which are present but not as harsh as in other lambics. Body is quite soft for the style but I like it. Overall it's a really good fruit lambic. I had it one year old but maybe if it was fresher I would have enjoyed it even more.

750 mL bottle. Pours a deep red. Smells of intense cherry and a touch of vinegar. Very acidic smelling. A bit of lemon. Tastes immensely sour. Sour cherries and sour vinegar. Some oak and then more sour vinegar and lemon in the finish. Way too sour for me. Overwhelms every other flavor with sourness.

Dark ruby, blood hued body with a thin cap that rapidly fades to nil. Grand aroma of cherries, huge vanilla presence, oak. The flavor brings additional notes of pie dough, butter (positive attribute), cherry pie. Medium high acidity with low carbonation. Delicious.

375ml bottle, cork and caged. Bottled March 2015. Served in a tumbler glass.

Pours a darker reddish body, the slightest pink hue, one finger white head, slightest carbonation, not a ton of retention. Not much lacing. Smells of tart cherry skin, cherry flesh, leathery funk, wheat, a big bite of acetic acidity. Geez. Definitely big on the aromas. Flavour is even better, with a nice big acetic acidity, cherry skin and flesh. Leather, touch of citrus and funk. It's an intense, super tasty fruited lambic with a ton of cherry. Mouthfeel is medium bodied, good carbonation despite the relatively minimal head on the pour, sour cherries on the finish. A mouthpuckering lambic with tons of sour cherry. It's similar to the 3F Schaerbeekse Kriek in the amount of tart cherry, although it brings quite a bit more tartness to the table.

Beautiful deep blood red color on this. Head dissipates quickly. No lace. Aroma is initial cherry with an array of berries such as raspberry that catches you nicely. Taste is big time acidity up front with cherry juice on the finish. Pretty dribkable despite the puckering factor. This on par with many of the great sour cherry beers out there. Definitely pick this one up.
