Pours golden and cloudy with an extensive, well retained head. Smells yeasty, fruity and floral, with just a hint of spices. Tastes just as it smells. Well carbonated with a light to medium mouthfeel.

Cork popped and the bubbly rose as this treat entered my wine glass. Cloudy yellow body with a tall lively head. Crisp, dry citrus and spicy fruits with a little puckering effect on the mouth. If I was disappointed that the pub was out of the Fantome I had ordered, that disappointment quickly faded as I took my first sip of this very drinkable and quite affordable brew.

This beer is never around the area in bottle format so it was pure delight to find it on-tap.

In the proper glassware, this beer actualizes a golden canary with a fluffy dollop of head that lasts, lingers, and leaves great lace rings.

The aroma of this beer is enticingly tart; lemony, filled with crisp hop zest, with a slightly spicy yeast profile.

This beer is a delicious saison: it is amazingly light and zingy on the mouth but also delightfully substantial. The lemon flavors abound in harmony with a peppery spice content...and the lingeringly powerful hop-bite just makes it more drinkable by the end of the glass.

The mouthfeel is almost bitingly carbonated but underneath is a dry, addictively smooth pucker of lemon and lime. Damned drinkable...hope I can find this again sometime.

12.7oz bottle poured into tulip glass.

A - Pale light gold in color, clear, with extremely high carbonation. Huge frothy head with good retention.

S - Clean crisp floral hops with some peppery spice notes. A hint of light malt, yeast, and grass.

T - Floral and grassy hops with some citrus, pepper, and Belgian yeast flavor. Rather complex. Not much malt present. Has a clean hoppy finish with a lingering grassy aftertaste.

M - Light body with high carbonation. Very prickly on the tongue. Dry finish.

O - The best Saison I've had. Everything about this beer was enjoyable. It's highly drinkable, refreshing, and tasty. I look forward to pairing this with some salmon.

Poured from a bottle into a regular glass.

A - Poured hazy yellow straw color with high head that slowly dissipated leaving lacing all around the glass.

S - Yeast and grass mostly. Smelled like a farm.

T - Starts off with fruits and some sours that slowly transform into yeast and hoppy bitterness at the end.

M - Light bodied with lots of carbonation.

D - Very good and light, easygoing as well.

Pours a slightly yeast-hazed golden yellow, with an enormous fluffy white head.

Aroma of candy apples, strawberries, and a slightly heavier grain note.

Taste is a mixture of peppery lemon and a modest malt background. Some grassy tones come through; not overly sweet or yeasty. A little sour in the finish, this is, as the bottle explains, a belgian that would work as a summer beer. Not too heavy, but still drawing much flavor yeast.

Appearence: Pours a golden yellow with huge, pillowy white head that leaves great lacing. Stunning to look at.

Smell: The smell is a very raw smell. The malts are pronounced, but they don't smell like modern malts. They have a very old world quality to them I really can't describe.

Taste and Mouthfeel: The taste is yeasty and bready, with an odd amount of bitterness. It tastes very primitive, but I feel that's the beauty of it. This is a classic tasting beer. The balance is impeccable, and leads into a thin but creamy mouthfeel.

Drinkability and Overall: This is a wonderful brew. I was lucky enought o enjoy many good Belgian beers tonight, and this one was one of the best. It has such a rustic feel to it that makes it wonderful. It's simple, it's solid, and it's a damn tasty beer.
