Golden with massive head and typical belgian lacing. Effervescent

Smells of fruit, spiciness but more like peppercorn probably more from the yeast than the hops which give a slight floral noble hop aroma. Very subtle sour/acidity.

Tastes fruity and spicy strong flavor throughout. Hops are there once again with classic noble hop flavors floral, spicy, clean. The first sip is extremely refreshing and relaxing. The mouthfeel is light to medium with champagne like carbonation early and it mellows out and becomes quite smooth.

What else can be said? Saison Dupont is a benchmark saison brewed to perfection. I love this beer perfect if you've never tried a saison and perfect for a hot summer day. Cheers!

A - pours a hazy pale amber colour, one inch bubbly white head, average lacing, mostly lasting head (always about a half centimetre covering the beer), big bubbles constantly rising

S - belgian yeast, champagne, spicy and floral scents, bready malt, bubble gum, slight banana and clove, orange, light coriander, light alcohol, amazing scent

T - Lemony citrus, yeasty, spicy, very fruity, bubblegum, orange, some apple, pear, some banana, earthy finish

M - Light to medium mouthfeel, high carbonation, round and astringent up front, average dry finish with tongue coating maltiness lingering, not too fizzy but sharp tasting

O - my first Saison and although i have nothing else to base it on, I loved it! will definitely be looking into some other ones to try. i loved the fruitiness of this one and there seemed to be a very bubblegum smell and taste which was pleasant. anything belgian screams my name

Poured from a 750 mL corked & caged bottle into a Duvel Tulip with a light hand. No specific date on the bottle, but the cork read 2.013 after it damn near put a hole in the ceiling. Fire in the hole!

A: Cloudy, golden yellow-orange with 2.5 fingers of clean, white head. Good retention with little floes remaining on the surface. Moderate lacing.

S: Relatively mellow Belgian yeast with a touch of earthy funk. Light grass. Good fruit notes - a little apple, pear, banana. Touch of spice.

T: Faintly sweet initially with development of a balanced hop bitterness. Rather dry finish. Floral, earth. Traces of vanilla. No significant alcohol presence.

M: Highly effervescent, but very smooth. Makes for a great fullness that seems to burst on the palate. No prickliness.

O: Fantastic & classic saison. Haven't had this one for a while. Today it seemed to drink a bit more like a Belgian pale than I remember. Dry & crisp with a satisfying depth. Always a pleaser.

Prost!

330 ml bottle poured into a tulip.

A- Towering white head on top of a hazy golden orange body. The head retains perfectly with loads of lacing.

S- Bready malt backbone. Fruity and earthy notes. Overripe apricot, but that's a good thing. That musty character comes out, too, but not so strong. Depth is great. Complexity is sure there.

T- That bready backbone starts out. Some fruity flavors come in. The funk is more apparent in the flavor, but still not overwhelming.

M- Light, sharp bite of carbonation, leads into a slower finish. Some dryness.

O- Really tasty. Sharp and light. Something that makes you think.
