Again I'm going to expose my novice beer information by saying "This smells like a heineken and drinks like a hefe"

The smell was, unexpected. I've had only a few different Saison's and this is the only one with that smell. I mean, seriously, almost exactily like a heineken. (editor's note: That smell went away after the bottle warmed up, I made the mistake of keeping it in the garage overnight where temps went into the below freezing.)

Aside from that it is a very drinkable beer and the low ABV makes it a good go-to beer for dinner parties.

Pours a cloudy light matte straw color. Thick frothy white head dissipates very slowly.

Aroma has notes of lemongrass, some yeast notes, lemon, and touch of skunkiness. A bit of a tanginess comes through on the nose as well.

Taste is light with some mild fruit flavors, lemon, lemongrass, a hint of yeast and yes, some skunk. Not much in the way of hops other than a slight lingering bitter note on the finish. This is however a very light note.

Feel is certainly light and drinkable, but it does not come across watery or too light. It certainly punches above its weight in both taste and feel.

Overall a very nice session beer from DuPont - Id be more amenable to this in a smaller format, but it was an enjoyable beer.

Clear yellow, white froth.

Spice, floral, hay, I guess.

Yeasty, citric but very pithy. Still, I do like the up front flavor. Needs more hop character, IMO, to drive it.

Dry-ish, lot of carbonation.

Bottled October 23rd 2015. 750ml.

It pours a hazy straw yellow with a massive fizzy head of foam.

Smells yeasty, of Belgian spices, candi sugar, light lemon zest. Also, a smell usually associated with light struck; green bottle and only 3.5% abv.

Tastes of yeast, mild spicing, bit of banana and lemon, sweet like candi t.

Smooth, balanced, and scary drinkable. I love it.
