Clear yellow, white froth.

Spice, floral, hay, I guess.

Yeasty, citric but very pithy. Still, I do like the up front flavor. Needs more hop character, IMO, to drive it.

Dry-ish, lot of carbonation.

Bottled October 23rd 2015. 750ml.

It pours a hazy straw yellow with a massive fizzy head of foam.

Smells yeasty, of Belgian spices, candi sugar, light lemon zest. Also, a smell usually associated with light struck; green bottle and only 3.5% abv.

Tastes of yeast, mild spicing, bit of banana and lemon, sweet like candi t.

Smooth, balanced, and scary drinkable. I love it.

On-tap 5/24/2015 at Doherty’s Ale House, Warwick, RI served in a snifter glass.

A: The beer is a light yellow color, with a short foamy white head that fades slowly and leaves a thick lace on the glass.

S: The aroma is faint but contains Belgian yeast, wheat, some fruit and some spice.

T: The taste starts out bready with flavors of wheat, Belgian yeast and a thin malt character. Then some mildly sweet flavors of bananas, citrus and spice come in. The malt character is and the hops presence is very mild but there’s a good balance. The after-taste is slightly bready.

M: Crisp and smooth, light-to-medium body, medium carbonation, finish is clean.

O: Tasty, goes down very easily, not too filling, extremely mild kick, good representation of style, this is a solid beer to drink for a while if you’re in the mood for the style.

Poured from 750mL corked & caged green bottle into a tulip.

Appearance: light golden hue with a moderate to light haze and a strong effervescence. Head is two fingers of frothy white foam with moderate retention. Not too bad.

Smell: lightly sweet with a little bit of malt and a good bit of graininess. There's just a hint of funk, which is nice, but also a little dab of green bottle skunkiness which, thankfully, wafts away relatively quickly.

Taste: a little sweet, a little grainy and lightly funky. The hops aren't strong but add a nice green grassiness to the overall flavor. Very light, but nice.

Mouthfeel: medium-light body with a good carbonation and a big, mouth-filling creaminess; great for the style and the low ABV.

Overall: it's hard to get a big flavor out of such a small beer, but Dupont does a pretty good job here. That said, the low ABV, big fizziness and big vernal attitude make this beer colossally drinkable. Woo!

Think a Berliner without a heavy sourness. Right amount of tartness and carbonation
