I like reds, and this one was pretty good. Haven't seen it around much any more, maybe they changed the name or stopped making it. The brewery has undertaken a complete makeover, so we'll see what comes of that.

Pours a clear amber with ruby hues and an off white, creamy head that lasts for minutes.

Smells spicy, peppery, sourdough bread, mashed cherries, and sweet caramel malt notes.

The taste is a let down from the aromas. Rather flat, caramel malt, hint of pepper spice, with a slightly watered down finish.

Light, slightly thin body with mild carbonation.

This beer is definitely drinkable and enjoyable. It doesnt wow me, but its not off putting. It smells much more complex than it tastes.
