This pours a beautiful black cola color with a creamy white head that sticks around and leaves sticky lacing that leaves walls of foam on the glass.

The aroma is of roasted coffee, cocoa, pine, and floral notes balancing things out.

A bit soapy flavored, clean and crisp with nice roasted notes, mild cocoa, pine, floral and a touch of citrus. Very tasty.

The mouthfeel is a bit fizzy, but nice and rich with medium body.

Very delcious, and nicely balanced black IPA

Pours a deep brown, clear with amber highlights. A solid inch head reminds me of cappuccino depth. Leaves sheets of lacing.

Aroma begins with floral hop, a hint of grapefruit pith, and undertones of coffee and roast malt. Slight nuttiness emergeso, with a hint of chocolate.

Hops steal the show, grapefruit, and a touch of pineapple dominating the roast malt profile, which shows up a bit in the bitter finish as a compliment to the hop bitterness. Apricot emerges as it warms, adding complexity. There's a hop minty flavor that furthers the onslaught, along with skunky dankness.

Body is moderate to light, with a moderate amount of carbonation and a fairly evident alcohol warmth.

Overall, one of the more hop dominant black ipas I've had. Good hop complexity, but wish the malt were more present in the flavor. Given their other offerings I'm amazed this is fort collins!
