A: filtered honey amber in color. Lots of carbonation with a thick long lasting head but not good lacing.
S: there is nothing fancy about the smell just beer basic smells of barley and rye with a pungent sour yeast in the back and light hops.
T: just like the smell it is very basic with some bitterness from the hops in the aftertaste. The yeast does come put a bit in the swig and actually detracts from the taste.
M/D: the feel is light and slimy and kind of tart. The drinkability is ok with it's basic taste and smell structure.

This is a fine darker lager - very hoppy with a nice finish. Not completely clean but very good. The novelty of the bottle is still fun too. With this wide mouth bottle you get a faster smoother pour that leaves you with a frothy big head. The aroma of hops is most prevalent at first and a light maltiness is the undertone. The flavor is a bit of a cross between a classic lager and a bitter. Very good flavor - great with bleeding (still begging for its life) beef.

The beer pours a nice deep golden amber color, the head modest and frothy with the lace a fair sheet to cover the glass. Malt dominates the nose; citrus crisp and clean also lightly sweet, quite pleasant. Start is sweet and malt laden, the top middling in its feel with the finish meaningful in its acidity, the hops apropos to the style, dry aftertaste and a quite drinkable beer, the “Quintessential Lager”.

Amber color, decent head and a thin wispy lace. Malt in the nose. Clean and fresh, with some hop presence, and a somewhat dry finish. Nice mouthfeel, goes down smooth and feels soft on the tounge. Very easy to drink. It is what you expect from a lager. A nice beer, better then I expected it to be.
