The only thing I didn't like about this brew was the price, too high.

medium amber hue with a thick tan head that remains. full haze with visible yeasty sediment. aromas are wet cardboard and stale honey sweetness. a bit medicinal. full thick body with oily texture with astringency bordering on harsh. taste is all malt and (granola?) nutty toffee-like sweetness. unfortunately the hop presence and bitterness is no longer there to balance it. some alcohol heat that lasts, along with the unbalanced sweetness into the aftertaste. - disappointed but maybe I hung on to it too long. from 2013.

Picked this one up from the local liquor spot. $14.99 price tag. The label alone, is Fucking killer!

A- Pours an orange and slight amber, with a generous 2 finger white frothy head. Lacing is nice throughout.

S- smells very sweet, and malty. You get honey and almonds up front, maybe the slightest scent of granola. I also get a grape like scent. Smells very light and fluffy.

T-Very surprising, to say the least. Honey and almonds are present up front. You'll taste the granola if you really look for it. IBU's have to be pretty low on this one, as it isn't very bitter at all. Well balanced, and sweet, like a dessert beer.

M-Medium body with decent carbonation. Very light and sweet.

O-If this beer came in 4 packs, like others from DFH, I would buy it for a relaxing night with the family after dinner. Very balanced and quite sweet. Good solid beer. Glad I picked it up.

Brewed with almonds, honey and granola.
A slightly hazy solid gold color and a hefty high foam cap.
Major complexity in the aroma, you can smell a robust, lush hop combo and all of the adjuncts. All equals big hearty and hot smell.
The flavor is very complex, dry, hearty, earthy and fruity hops are in a wonderful groove with the honey sweet malt and hefty-smooth granola.
Feel is the Jerry G of the show, full bodied, crisp and super smooth finish thanks to the long granola effect. Stunning complexity thanks to the depth of flavor. This one is much like a long, deep, Darkstar from 1972.

I've had this one set aside for awhile and finally decided to tap into it. Poured into pint glass; nice orange color with modest carbonation leading to a one finger head. Modest sweet notes and malts to the nose. Medium body with subtle sweet taste and slight bitterness at backside; not what I expected for a DIPA/Imperial Pale Ale. Interesting yet it's another Dogfish head brew! Enjoy!!
