First had: on tap at DFH, Rehoboth Beach, DE

Served in a tulip and garnished with a cherry, this beer was a golden-straw color with a slight haze, and a small white head that receded to a ringlet; minimal spotty lacing. Aroma of pils malts, herbs and spices (cardamom probably coming out the most), and a slight vanilla sweetness. Doughy malts in the taste, herbal notes, cardamom and light cinnamon, hints of vanilla; there was definitely a bit of spice from the habaneros in the finish, but mostly just a tingling in the mouth, as opposed to a razing pepper heat. As it warmed, the beer got a bit stale, with the pils malts leaving a somewhat bland aftertaste when combined with the peppers, yet there emerged some very very subtle bourbon flavors that I didn't detect at all when the beer was cold. Light-medium body, prickly mouthfeel. Interesting, but overall didn't quite deliver what was promised.

On tap at Dogfish Head Brewings and Eats in Rehoboth, DE.

Pours a dark orange color, half inch head, spotty lacing down the glass.

Aromas include cinnamon, malt sweetness, pepper, and other spices.

The taste is pretty similar- the habanero flavor builds up on your lips throughout the session. Some herbal hop flavors, good amount of cinnamon and caramel malt flavor. Some vanilla.

Medium bodied, low carbonation, crisp, prickly mouthfeel due to peppers.

A great little brewpub one-off, this one had a great set of flavors.
