Basically fit the description, a mixture between wine and mead. Interesting but I wasn't crazy about it. Still worth a try at least once. Grapes really stand out followed by the honey. Fairly sweet

Look - This beer has a light, golden straw to it, and it has a slightly hazy quality. It has a thin, soapy head that disappeared quickly.

Smell - On first whiff I was immediately reminded of sparkling white grape juice There's also some honey and some wheat in there to brighten it up. I also got a citrusy lemongrass note.

Taste - This is very sweet up front, with the honey, wheat and lemon being front and center. It also has a slight funkiness to it. As it warmed up in my hands, the white wine notes really seemed to come through. Those notes were more on the fruity side, like a Pinot Grigio. There's also a light herbal or grassy note that I'm guessing comes from the saffron that's in this.

Feel - This is pretty thin, more on the watery side, and it had only light carbonation. It could have used more bubbles. Despite being somewhat thin, it is nonetheless sticky, leaving me smacking my lips after sips.

Overall - This is a fine beer. I'd have to be in the mood for the wine notes, though. I'm not entirely sure what I was expecting with this. It's sweet and grapey, which is a bit odd. I do like the citrus and honey notes together, though. Although it clocks in at 9%, it does not have the feel of a "beefy brew."

Pairs Well With - Jumanji . . . the original one with Robin Williams. I love those monkeys!

Definitely on the sweeter side, the honey / mead flavor is pretty thick but there is some huskier yeast and malt notes that help cut it down a little bit, though the marriage doesn’t quite gel all the way

Whoa! this is bold tasting at 9% ABV. Those grapes really standout. A decent beer for the style, but I have had better. Cheers! B- (80-84) score range

I'm on the fence with this one. It's very unique, complex, and different than anything out there. But there is a hint of a cough syrup flavor in the background and it is a bit on the hot side.

Appearance- Head: Pancake batter, off white. Lacing: slightly uneven. Sticking: fairly sticky. Body: Light golden amber. Clear. Few bubbles forming, appears thick.

Smell: Old wet hay, but not in a bad way.
Taste: Malt: detectable but masked by other flavors. Hops: Hay taste matches smell. Honey: not detectable. Alcohol: forward. Doesn't hide ABV.

Mouthfeel: Astringency. Tip of tongue feels slightly numbed with first sip. Syrupy feel that sticks to mouth. Sits in back of your throat.

Overall: Overall I feel a bit disappointed by the beer just based on the beer description. I didnt detect a lot of what I was excited about tasting. I wish the sweetness was more reminiscent of honey. However, generally, disregarding description, beer was enjoyable.

Such a unique beer, it's hard to compare it to anything. It's sweet without being cloying. No hops to bitter the brew. Uses saffron for coloring and bittering. I wouldn't do a six pack but I am looking forward to the second one.

Golden clear colour, with very little cloudiness. Nice carbonation. Sweet honey smell.
The taste is on the sweeter side, with the raisins and dried fruits dominating the overall feel. Honey also and a bit of spices. You can really sense that it is an unusual recipe, giving a certain particular character to the beer.
The alcohol content is completely hidden, no indication of the 9% whatsoever.
Something that points out of the crowd.

Slightly hazy orange color with beige head. Aroma has sweet, syrupy malt, candied tangerines and resiny hops. Taste is bittersweet with dried fruits, candied apricot, bitter orange peel on the finish. Medium body with medium to light carbonation. Tasty, complex, well hidden ABV.
