Notes / Commercial Description:
What you have here is a serious India Pale Ale shacking up and hunkering down with mango and apricots. At the same time! Romantic Chemistry is brewed with an intermingling of mangos, apricots and ginger, and then dry-hopped with three varieties of hops to deliver a tropical fruit aroma and a hop-forward finish. It’s fruity, it’s hoppy, it’s tasty!

Poured out a clear, golden orange color with a one-finger head of bubbly foam. It smelled of tropical fruits - mango, grapefruit and pineapple. Some ginger aroma. The ginger with prominent in the taste with sweet fruits and a touch of bitterness.

Golden orange in color with excellent clarity. Poured with a moderate, dense, creamy, off-white with medium retention. Medium malt, caramel and meaty tropical fruit aromas. Light earthy hop aromas in the background. Medium bodied with soft, medium high carbonation. Pleasant boozy warmth from the middle to the finish. Medium malty flavors up front followed by mango, lightly sweet meaty tropical fruit flavors. Medium light ginget and spicy hop notes through the middle. Ginger and spice linger to the end along with caramel malt notes. Finished with lingering spicy notes followed by apricot. Interesting, complex flavors. Feel lacked creaminess and texture. Hop character was light for an IPA. Would categorize this more of a fruit/herbal beer. Easy drinking nonetheless.

Medium-pale Amber body with a thick, foamy, off-white head. Aroma is hints of toast, dashes of tree fruits. Flavor is balanced with roasty malt, hint of juicy mango and a prominate ginger presence. Feel is medium bodied, medium carb, a little fuller feeling due to the malt presence. Not a bad beer, close to a 60 min in terms of hoppiness.

Pours a hazy dark golden orange color with deep apricot edges and a two finger frothy white head that quickly settles into a thick, lasting ring. Excellent retention, lingering for the duration with large rings and streaks of soapy lacing coating the glass on the way down. A little dark but otherwise a really nice looking beer.

Floral aroma with earthy resins and fresh cut grass countered by light fruit sweetness, delicate spice and caramel malt. Grass, pine needle and dank soil dominate the nose and I'm not picking up much of the mango or apricot. Ginger comes out as it warms with zest and white pepper. Pretty bland otherwise with caramel, hazelnut and toffee sweetness countering hops. Smells like an east coast IPA from the nineties with light spice.

Medium body that's slightly chewy with dry hop bitterness lingering over sweet malt notes and light slice into a dry, slightly boozy finish. Again, pretty standard old school IPA with delicate ginger spice. Not picking up much of the fruit and the malt base is stronger than I prefer. Bready with caramel, toffee, dark fruit and lightly toasted nut. Subtle tart tropical sweetness as it warms but it's buried under the earthy resins, grassy pine and malt sweetness. Decently drinkable, I suppose, but overall pretty disappointing.
