Esquire Magazine calls our 90 Minute IPA "perhaps the best IPA in America." An imperial IPA best savored from a snifter, 90 Minute has a great malt backbone that stands up to the extreme hopping rate.
90 Minute IPA was the first beer we continuously hopped, allowing for a pungent -- but not crushing -- hop flavor.

7/29/2017 - Deep golden color, slightly hazy, with a creamy foamy head. Head retention is pretty good. Nice aroma, with a hint of alcohol. Rich smooth taste, not bitter.
Dogfish Head taste test: 60 Minute IPA vs 90 Minute IPA
The 90 Minute is slightly darker and has a creamier foamier head. The 60 minute is milder, the 90 minute sharper. 60 minute = 6% alc. 90 minute = 9% alc. By the time you finish them both, the taste test really doesn't matter so much.
90 Minute IPA is my favorite IPA, so far.
1/18/2021 - 90 Minute has moved to a back burner for me. I've been drinking other IPAs. I like hazy IPAs e.g. Hazy Voodoo Ranger. And drinking 90 Minute much less, but occasionally. Tonight I had a glass of it and hardly noticed it. I must be becoming beer jaded. Adjusted rating from 4.42 to 4.0
9/24/2021 - Haven't had one for a while. Been drinking Juicy Haze Voodoo Ranger lately. Thought I'd give my old friend 90 Minute a visit. So a new review and then I'll see how it compares to my first one.
Perfectly clear, a nice darkish amber. small cream colored head recedes to a persistent cap, some lacing, and nice, a gentle slosh paints the glass with lace and forms a good rim around the head. It's a nice looking beer I think I'll raise the Look score from 4 to 4.25; I smell almost nothing - my sniffer is dead; I'm almost surprised by the flavor: smooth, rich, calmly robust - not bad at all and not how I remembered it. This tastes good with no hint of harshness. No wonder I liked this beer so much. It's much smoother and not as sharp as I remember it. I'm gonna bump the taste score up from 4 as well; Mouthfeel is much subdued over my memory of it - meh. The feel score drops from 4 to 3.5; Overall I'll give it a Four, I guess. Flavor gets a little sourish near the end.
5/15/23. 90 minutes is a standard favorite I always keep some in my beer fridge and drink it regularly. Bump the feel up from 3.5 to 3.75. It’s all least decent. I do like this beer and drink it regularly.

Copper body topped with a long lasting fluffy white head. Aroma: very floral, lots of malt & hops & some citrus.. Flavors: a perfect balance of hop bitterness & malt sweetness with some biscuit & a hint citrus. Feel: plenty of carbonation, crisp. It’s 9% is well hidden. Overall:one of the few iPAs is actually enjoy, excellent.

I've drank this brew many times and apparently never rated it. I found a fresh 19.2 oz can at the bottle shop and bought a few. Poured into my favorite tulip a deep amber tone, light fluffy head. Aroma is mild but quite present, mostly malty. First taste is so full and amazing. VERY balanced and full of a variety of notes. Savoring all of that . . .mmm and then the feel is medium to sticky with a yummy biscuit crisp finish. THIS is one of THE most balanced American IPAs ever produced.

Such a dependable beer. Really good for being available across the country. Hop forward but mellowed quickly with malt and yeast backing. ABV also mellowed with great pairing of hops and yeast. Smooth but demanding respect.

Poured slightly dark orange with a off white head from a 12 oz bottle. Hazy to clear with the foamy head disapating to lace. Aromas are strongly floral with sweet malt. The flavors are heavy hop with malty sweetness. Aftertaste is drying and spicy, with warming alcohol. Very good

I thought the beer was way to sweet for an imperial ipa

It’s not the best in the world, but it’s darn good and lives up to its ranking.

It’s not the best IPA in America but it is very good. Nice malty backbone but I do get the 9% ABV. Would pick up again but it has a lot of competition.

Really good, but world class is a stretch. Looks great with a nice color, ok head, nice lacing. Unremarkable nose. The best feature is a taste that combines maltiness without sugariness with hoppiness without bitterness, all of which pleasantly lingers on the palate.
