Notes / Commercial Description:
An ale brewed with a ridiculous amount of pureed raspberries (over a ton of 'em!). Fort has a Belgian-style base, then we follow a similar fermentation process to the one we use on our other super-high ABV beers, 120 Minute IPA and World Wide Stout.

A: This poured a hazy copper with moderate off white head.
S: It smelled like wheat bread with raspberry jam.
T: It tasted like sweet and tart raspberry with wheat bread and honey malt. It had a clean and sweet aftertaste with a ton of alcohol warming.
M: It was oily with a bit of carbonation. Nice slick body.
D: This was an extreme brew with simple scent and taste. Nice body, but super hot so it had to be sipped. Age could only help. Fresh is ok.

A little too heavy in the raspberry aspect. This beer drinks much smaller than 17 percent. I would figure the tartness of the berries is responsible. All in all a very enjoyable beer as I love raspberries.

Very sour in the mouth. A metallic after taste. The best thing about the beer is the coloring. Faint raspberry flavor.

Poured from 12oz bottle, 2015 vintage.

Beautiful reddish brown, crystal clear body. No significant head to speak of and only traces of carbonation.

Sharp smell of fruits, lacks significant complexity, but its a very pleasing smell. Thin body, and taste that follow the aroma. Finishes with booze, not an unsettling amount, but enough to scare you a touch.

Overall, this is beer maybe technically, but drinks much more like a dessert wine. Its tasty, but should probably be given at least a year or more to let the flavors come together better.
