SeaQuench Ale is our session sour quencher made with lime peel, black lime and sea salt. It’s a citrusy-tart union of three German styles of beer blissfully brewed into one. We begin by brewing a straightforward Kolsch with lots of wheat and Munich Malt, then we brew a salty Gose with black limes, coriander and our sea salt. We follow it all up with a citrusy-tart Berlinerweiss made with lime juice and lime peel. All three beers are then blended together in the fermentation tank to create this German hybrid.

I love sours, but this didn't have the flavor I look for in a good sour. Was more bitter and very salty. Tastes more like a margarita but not in a good way.

Lime, lime, lime! A light amber brew with big white foam. The taste is an interesting mix of sour and salt. I'm used to trying big hoppy IPAs so this is a real change of pace. The mouthfeel is light. The taste is refreshing, mainly sour with a salty after taste, hence "sea quench." More refreshing than a deep flavor dive. This is have-another session beer. Quite a switch from their 120-, 90-, and 60-minute IPAs.

Someone has compared this to a margarita and I think they're right. The lime and salt come shining through.

Pours a very pale yellow-green with low carbonation and a thin head. Aroma is 100% lime. Taste is tart, with very low carbonation and a bit of a profile for lime. The body is thin and is more tart, than sour. No sea salt is detected. Interesting but not my cup of...brew.

Not as sour as I was lead to believe. A nice slightly tart summer beer. Nice change of pace for shandy lovers.

This is an awesome summer/beach beer. It tastes great if a little too much of a flavored product but it really hits the spot on a hot day. I only wish it had less alcohol so I could drink more, faster.

Poured from can into pilsner glass. Cloudy straw color with thick white head. Hints of lime and yeast on the nose. Taste followed nose with a touch of salt on the finish and tart on the front. Smooth and light bodied. Very good brew.

12 oz. can, looks like best by August 2023 stamped on the bottom. Acquired this one as part of a new Dogfish variety 12 pack that just landed in my area. I've had this beer before, but it's been awhile, and I have yet to review, so let's give it a go.

Poured to Camp Crystal Lake stemless wine snifter.
A: Pours a hazy cloudy yellow body. Small finger of thin wispy white head doesn't stick around too too long. Minor thin spotty lacing doesn't stick very well. Looks befitting of the style, we'll say that much.
S: Nice mouthwatering aroma. Citric, acidic, tart smelling.
T: Good level of tart / sour for sure. Authentic flavors of lime juice / peel, coupled with the dryness of the sea salt. Gives off a sort of margarita vibe at times, minus the booziness. Dry, earthy, yeasty, bacterial finish.
F: Smooth, crisp, easy-drinking, light. Finishes a bit dry from the sea salt, but invokes another sip steadily. Low abv makes this one highly drinkable.

Overall, definitely an excellent example of the style. Love the amount of lime put into this one also.

My go to when i don’t want to take the time for a Margarita…DFH suggested dropping a shot of tequila into it and l… it’s amazing.
A Mexican Car Bomb? Yup… straight up very refreshing, limey, sour with a touch of bitter. Others object to the salt but i think it works out n this case. Maybe that’s the margarita talking…a great spring summer beer.
