Notes / Commercial Description:
SeaQuench Ale is our session sour quencher made with lime peel, black lime and sea salt. It’s a citrusy-tart union of three German styles of beer blissfully brewed into one. We begin by brewing a straightforward Kolsch with lots of wheat and Munich Malt, then we brew a salty Gose with black limes, coriander and our sea salt. We follow it all up with a citrusy-tart Berlinerweiss made with lime juice and lime peel. All three beers are then blended together in the fermentation tank to create this German hybrid.

Another amazing beer from Dogfish! Highly innovative. Very drinkable. The mix of flavors is just perfect—the salt and the sour complement each other brilliantly.

This is a bright colored beer. You get a nice lime aroma.

This will be my go to summer beer.

Maybe it was the weather. Maybe it was the day. Maybe it was the moment. But damn if it wasn't one of the most refreshing surprises I could've hoped for. Simply Quaffable. Clean juicy finish.
I'll have another for sure.

Another incredible beer from DFH. The first sip surprises you as a bit tart but wanting more. With the next sip you get exciting lime up front followed with a sea salt finish. This beer lights up your mouth. So tasty. Perfect with a lobster roll.

12oz bottle- poured into a tulip.

Apperance- Poured hazy with a small head. Nice golden color to the pour

Smell- Lime definitely the most prominent thing in this one however there is a slight salty (salt water) aroma

Taste- Again the lime is the star of this beer. The lime is right out front with a slight tartness that is mellowed rather quickly to allow the sea salt to shine through. It has a malty finish that carries through the end of the sip.

Mouthfeel- not much to say except it is medium body and aggressive carbonation.

Overall- I wish this beer wasn't so expensive because I could drink it all day. Unlike most sours this beer doesn't destroy your palate with that dry aftertaste. If you see this in stores and haven't tried it I highly suggest drinking some.

Sam Calagione you can once again take my money!

I'm not a big DFH lover but this stuff is the perfect hot summer day beer. Somewhere between a shandy and a Berliner weis you will find this beer. Outstandingly refreshing and juicy. I will be killing a few cases of this before the snow flies for sure!
