An unfiltered IPA that's bursting with ALL the hops, Liquid Truth Serum is brewed using a unique process that incorporates four different states of hops: whole leaf, liquefied, pelletized and powdered. The result is a blissfully inefficient IPA full of citrusy and tropical notes, that's truthfully hoppy without being deceptively bitter ... honest.
Hops: Azacca, Mosaic, Citra, Warrior, Simcoe, Calypso

16 oz can from Boise Co-op. Pale golden pour, light foamy white head. Light hoppy aroma, hop oil. Piney aroma and taste. Slick, bitter, resinous, oily.

Lovely, full bodied IPA…complex hop profile that dances all over the place making a lot of bang for the buck. Unfiltered in the truest sense….these days a lot of unfiltered feel/look half filtered….this pushes up against a home brew kind of feeling which I find outstanding in these “hazy” days.
Goes great with food but really stands out alone with something salty of as a post winter hike warmer without the high abv.
Wish I could access it here in cans or bottles but making due with a crowler bought at Christmas at the Alehouse in Fairfax Va.

DFH Liquid Truth Serum IPA
From the web site: You can handle the truth!
MYTH: IBUs (hop bitterness) can only be achieved in the boil. TRUTH: Uh-uh!
The truth is, Dogfish Head has been experimenting with tradition-bucking hop schedules since we opened in the mid-90s. From our continual hopping method found in our 60 Minute, 90 Minute and 120 Minute IPAs to our latest innovation, we've been know to zag when everyone else zigs. Liquid Truth Serum is no different, and we've liberated a new truth by adding every single hop to this juicy IPA after the boil is complete.

Poured from the Crowler that my brother bought at the brewery 6 17 22. Thanks again Pete!
A: Golden yellow translucent body under a white meringue like head that lingers for several minutes. Good look. 4.0
S: Citrus hops with tropical fruits to the nose. Really good smelling IPA. 4.25
T: Very solid IPA with all of the tastes that were observed from the smell. Citrus hops, pineapple sweetness. 4.0
M: Hops bitterness lingers on the back of my tongue for 1 to 2 minutes after last sip and background of fruit sweetness contributes to full mouthfeel. This is appropriate to the style and this beer is representative of that. 4.0
D: Drinkability is good. Overall a very good IPA. 4.0
Notes: Thanks again Pete for the Crowler directly from the brewery in Rehoboth Beach!

This beer poured a clear golden, amber color with a very significant white head with great retention. There is significant lacing. The aroma is of fresh hops and malt; nothing beyond this - very basic, yet very pleasant! The taste is complex; a nice level of bitterness, with the perfect offset of sweetness. The taste of fresh hops and malt prevails. Perhaps my favorite American IPA to date

There's a haziness to it, yet it's practically translucent. The contents of a pint can and some of another now temporarily reside inside a clear pint glass. The color is a bright and light amber. Very modest is the head and subsequent glass lacing. Hops dominate the aroma. There's not even an attempt to provide a malt contrast to them for the taste buds. This might be the most deliberately unbalanced IPA to be found. For a die-hard hop lover, even this might be a challenge. Somehow, there's just enough malt to provide a decent body and prevent this from being overly bitter. Unless you're a hop head, that you'll appreciate the hop experience run of earthy to dry here, is doubtful. And, there's not much else going on. True to claims, it's not overly bitter.

Six pack copped from Wine Emporium in South Orange, NJ.
Pours a golden, effervescent hue with an impressive amount of frothing. Ardent aroma consisting of ripe pears and candied fruit. Slightly bitter taste redolent of fresh grapefruit and tart lemon. Good stuff.

Appearance: Pours a golden with just a slight chill haze; excellent head retention and squiggly lace
Smell: Lemon-lime and pine underpinned by biscuity malt
Taste: A touch of the biscuit and then a subtle tropical flavor emerges; the middle is filled by the lemon-lime tones while the piney bitterness drives home the finish
Mouthfeel: Medium body with moderate carbonation
Overall: Everything in just the right proportions; a well-balanced IPA from the pre-NE days
Thanks, Slack, for the opportunity

Hazy, flashy yellow coloring, large and lasting ivory head.
In the nose: soft and flowery hop presence, splashes of citrus and pen. Lemon and grapefruit.
In the mouth: Big, bitter hop bite beats the drum up front. Just a little bit juicy, ending nice and dry. Tasty stuff, delightfully bitter, a good o' drinking' IPA. Medium bodied. Highly likable, for hopheads like me.
All the hops at play in this one. Well, all the types. I can't see where they tell us which ones. I'm not worried about that, doesn't matter, they all come together for a crisp, brisk, zesty package. Good IPA and I'm drinking it!
