A music collaboration of epic proportions with The Flaming Lips, this lip smackingly tart pale ale is brewed with dragonfruit, yumberry, passion fruit, pear juice and black carrot juice for an explosion of fruit in every sip!

12 oz bottle from Brewers Haven. Amber body with a light violet hue, fluffy head. Aroma is berries, fruity, floral. Taste is sweet, fruity, light handsoap. Finishes fast and disappears .

Clear, pinkish hued, with solid ivory head. Weird and good.
In the nose: Lightly sweet and fruity. Very berry. What other berries? I can't say for sure.
In the mouth: Slight tart, big fruity. Dragonfruit? I love Dragonfruit! I don't go out of my way for it, but if it's there, I'm drinking it. Or eating it. Plenty of dragonfruit, and who knows what else pounds the palate on every sip.
Light body, smooth, easy drinking, lots of fruit....tasty and tart.
I haven't any familiarity with the music of The Flaming Lips, and can only imagine what their song about dragons and yum yums can possibly sound like. Maybe it's out there somewhere, or do I have to wait for Record Store Day?

You know, I never saw this one around before but I’d heard about it. My local has a whole DFH section and I was looking through it and found this hidden in a 4 pack of Perfect Disguise and just had to go for it
Pours a cloudy burnt copper with a finger of off white head that reduces to a cap quickly, no lacing
Hmm, was expecting something a bit fruitier going into this. I primarily get watermelon, but there’s a hefty red malt presence and a touch of citrus hops, quite the interesting aroma
There’s a bit more fruit in the taste, especially in the beginning of the sip with notes of bright and tropical fruit, some pineapple and dragonfruit. Even with over a year on this one, the hops still shine through a bit, lightly bitter. A nice balance to the finish of red malt and sweet fruit
Very light bodied and well carbonated, but still flavorful and a bit sour when holding in a sip. Finishes off dry and crisp
At the end of the day, I just really like trying everything DFH puts out, they were my real introduction to the craft beer world. Say what you will about them, but they’re damn solid, despite business decisions and some not so great beers. This one is not so great, but I’ve also never had anything like that, so I’ll come back to it if I have the chance

Pours a ruby-pink-grapefruit color with a hint of fog to the transparency. Head is a finger of pink-white foam. Aroma is earthy and bready malts with sticky herbal and resiny hops behind. A touch of dragonfruit adds a little further depth. Flavor profile is resiny, herbal, floral, and citrusy hops with bready, earthy malts behind. It is remarkably small bodied with a compact flavor profile. Dargonfruit adds a little sweetness and tropical fruit quality at the end. Mouth feel is medium in thickness with a lightly crisp texture. Overall, compact and well-calculated pale ale with a little additional pizzazz.
Served in a 15.5oz Speigalau tulip from a 12oz bottle.

Pours a five+ finger white head that fades slowly leaving a good lace. Light hazy amber color. Medium carbonation and medium-bodied. Sour fruity nose and flavor is fruity - I've never had dragon fruit & yumberry - but it is different and slightly sweet. $3.83 for a 12oz bottle from Bert's Better Beers Hooksett, NH.

Pours a pink rust color. Juicy squishy aromas overall. Smells like tart slighty bitter yumberries and passion fruit, bit of lychee, dragonfruit, and crisp hops. Tastes light tart and crisp overall. Pear, yumberry, notes of carrot juice, citrusy hops, and has a clean semidry finish. Simple and straightforward, this is a tasty crushable beer.
