Very Good
Sun-Day-FeelsSun-Day-Feels
Notes: Inspired by everyone’s favorite fruit-forward brunch libations – the mimosa, the bellini and the screwdriver to name a few – Sun-Day-Feels is bursting with inviting aromas of fresh peaches, bright citrus and of course, champagne.

Crisp and spritzy, Sun-Day-Feels began as a small-batch beer available only in our Milton Tasting Room & Kitchen. The beer was introduced to guests (under a different name) through our Beer Exploration Journal during the summer of 2019. After a surge of positive guest feedback, our brewers carefully sifted through comments, tinkered with the recipe a touch, and thus … Sun-Day Feels was born!

A masterful piece of liquid art, Sun-Day-Feels joins our lineup of offbeat brews as the spring offering in our 2020 Off-Centered Art Series. Boasting whimsical, colorful graphics by Dan Stiles, Sun-Day-Feels pops with a bright pink package featuring an animated frog relaxing to the tunes of an old-school record player. A medley of citrus fruits effortlessly swirls about through the air for laid-back feelings that perfectly pair with a pint of Sun-Day-Feels.

A - Medium orange and hazy with dense white lacing.

S - Some slight graininess, with lime and lemon.

T - Lemon, lime, blood oranges, and light twang.

M -Thick and soft with light carbonated pricklies.

O - Unobtrusive, not too sour, and easy drinking (and I don't like this style at all - total serious).

Highly active carbonation with a nice 2 finger sustained head. Aroma has a somewhat generic kettle sour thing going on. Some fruit and slight sulfur. Not bad though. Taste is very nice. Tart but not sour. Hops and fruit bouncing together, and a very clean refreshing finish. It's 6.5% which is a shocker as this beer drinks like a 4.5-5% beer. Get refreshed and also a little tipsy.

12oz bottle. Poured out a clear, dark orange color with a small, khaki-colored head of foam. It left very little lacing. It smelled of tart lemon, blood oranges, green apple and light caramel notes. Fairly tart and acidic with blood orange, lemon and subtle caramel sweetness.

From bottle into tulip:
L: Pours a very light, hazy orange with a moderate head that recedes quickly without lacing.
S: Aroma is a bit musty; not getting much sour/fruit here; bit of iron, metal?
T: Flavor muted as well, but pleasant; slight sour, pithy orange, leavening bread
F: Best part of the beer - bubbly carbonation, thin mouthfeel
O: Would like a bit more pop - either sweet or sour, frankly - but a refreshing summer beer

Looks kind of ugly, slight brownish yellow and hazy. Has no aroma. Taste is pretty disappointing. I was hoping for more, but I guess orange plus lemon and lime equals grapefruit. The sour tang is enjoyable and it’s pretty light and smooth. Good carbonation level.
Overall it’s an ok summer time beer served ice cold.

Good looking color orange hazy yellow tint not much carbonation which is a downer. Good fruit smell too much happening at once it's really pick out a particular fruit smell. Taste was quite good like another reviewer said the lemon and orange kind of mixed together and leave a nice refreshing grapefruit taste. Body was light despite the above higher gravity of 6.5%. overall I would have it again the price was very fair and flavor was memorable.

Bottle dated 5/11:
Into the glass flows a bruised peach, light yellow orange highly hazed liquid. The white froth atop it prevents the whole bottle going into the 14oz glass immediately, but settles down soon enough. The nose continues the peach metaphor, along with a light lime citrus and a hint of sweet wine. The latter aspect allows me to see where the brewer was going for the champagne aspect of a mimosa.

Beer is light on the tongue, and there is a spritzy carbonation up front. The beer is also surprisingly smooth after that initial bite, such as to say it turns to a tickle and a thicker, sweeter feel by mid-taste. Immediate note is nectarine and sour peach, with a decent tartness. This is quickly backed by orange juice and a bit of grape juice - both a little sweeter, with a lime tartness on the edges.

Well, sometimes DFH doesn't hit their odd aims, but I think this one is near the mark. It's just a little sweet and slightly sticky in the end, but has a moderate sour aspect throughout.

Poured from the bottle into a tulip glass. Bottled April 22nd 2020.

Solid looking, and opaque bodied pale orange to yellow color. There's some lively fast and very fine carbonation moving up around this brew too. Bright white and foamy looking head, very populating collar as it settles slowly.

Very nice aroma. Light acidity and sourness, with a soft exotic fruity sense somewhat that's very sprity sort of lemon lime but comes off more softer if I could use the word. Definitely seems like a Sam creation for sure.

The palate reveals itself slowly, but comes with much reward. Llight bodied but still with a good malt density. Lots of citrus refreshment but juicy hints of peach like and gulping champagne touches. Soft and prickly bubbles that really cut through. The aftertaste is a very large refreshing lime and lemon spritzy flavor that truly does come off like a mimosa.

Real nice fruited sour, seems like the grapes have really imparted some body and punch to the fruit that makes for a real tasty brew.

Pours an opaque gold with a nice sized head that dissipates quickly. Smell is yeasty and I think I detect some grapes. This is billed as a beermosa sour- obviously a play on mimosa- the champagne and orange juice cocktail popular at brunches. I can see where they're headed- there's grape juice in this, along with other fruit juices, and the wild yeast gives it an orangey sourness. The taste is sort of like tart orange juice up front with the sourness increasing through to the finish. The main flavor is citrus throughout- oranges and lemons. It has a bit of beer breadiness but this isn't a very beery beer- would be good for those who don't normally drink beer. It's very summery and drinkable.

Plenty of lemon-lime tartness, salt and other citrus flavors. The malt does show but is in the background and it finished well leaving you with a clean palate.
