This was poured into a flared tulip.
The appearance was a glossy yellow color with a slim bar pour's kind of white head. Quick dissipation yields some stringy lacing quickly sliding into the beer.
The smell takes in some oranges, lemongrass in a sweet way and then allows some coriander to blend into the rest of it.
The taste was mainly sweet with a decent kick of the spice (coriander) to balance decently.
The mouthfeel was about a light on the body with a nice sessionability about it. Carbonation rests nicely on my tongue as it's fairly mild. Light yeastiness clings in a decent bready (light stickiness) sort of way on my tongue.
Overall, its a decent witbier. If anything, it went well with the Reuben I had along with it.

355ml bottle from Drinks of the World, Basel, Switzerland (5.20 CHF):
A simple but very well done witbier with all the usual flavours (orange zest, spice, lemongrass & coriander). Not the most unique from DFH but a great beer with good carbonation, a fresh & crisp feel with nice balance & it was easy to drink; another excellent offering from the brewery.

Appearance: cloudy, straw color; very frothy white head, at least 2 fingers, which lingered for some time. Smell: orange, lemon, coriander and a little pepper. Taste: follows the nose; getting more of the peppercorns; lemony / hoppy finish at the end, but very slight and not overpowering. Mouthfeel: light bodied and creamy. Overall: a great wit!

A beautiful looking pour - cloudy yellow with lots of foam. Smell is lemon zest and sticky malts. Taste is a hint of orange, lemon zest, with hints of coriander and white pepper. Has a very nice carbonated feel.

12 ounce bottle served in a pint glass.

Pours a light-golden, semi-opaque color with a (very) frothy, 2-3 finger head. Lots of lacing throughout.

Smells of wheat, biscuit, lemongrass.

Taste quite how it smells... and cool and crisp. I can, perhaps, taste a little bit of the coriander (cilantro)... hard to tell. It's quite subtle as is the orange slices.

A nice beer for a hot summer day.

Namaste - Dogfish Head Brewery. Poured from the bottle into a pint glass(Weizen glass needs replacing as of this review), this beer's head is one finger thick and off-white, with very nice lacing throughout, and a clear, pale golden body.

Smells rather frickin malty for a witbier.

I do taste the lemongrass, but not much of the other elements described on the label.

The mouthfeel is clean and crisp.

Overall, I'll give Namaste - Dogfish Head Brewery a 3.75. Once I acquire a new Weizen glass, I'll probably go back and re-review this to give it a better olfactory judgement.

Poured into a tulip
L: Hazy pale yellow, initially pours tons of head, white and fluffy like clouds. Head subsides a bit. Leaves a little lacing on the side of the glass. Quite attractive
S: Typical yeasty smell of the style predominates. Sweet wheat is also present Citrusy is also present, as well as a touch of spice. Actually pretty standard for the style.
T: Sort of lacks the characteristic sweetness I am used to with witbiers. Citrus is present, not really much in terms of a phenol character. Flavors that are present are citrus, lemon or orange flavors. Flavor is good but sort of lacks complexity
F: Initially carbonation makes this beer quite crisp, but it finishes smooth as hell. I actually really enjoy the feel of this beer. It feels full body but goes back easy.
O: Nice wit for many reasons. Lacks in some regards and it makes up for it in others. Wouldn't mind trying this in a blind taste test with a few others and really get a feel for it.

Pours very pale, hazy with a very wide white foam head medium retention. Smell is citric, fresh and yeasty. Taste is refreshing, citric and wheaty, some yeast and spices too. Médium Body with high carbónation. Nice wit but not very well balanced

Namaste pours golden yellow with a nice foamy head that doesn't linger too long. It tastes like a white ale (which it is, of course), but spicier. The label mentions coriander and other spices and not only are they evident, but they work very well. This is a good beer.
