Notes:
Faithfull Ale is a celebration of Pearl Jam's 20th anniversary as a band and its extraordinary debut album, "Ten." In recognition of these milestones, this Belgian-style golden ale is delicately hopped to 20 IBUs and fruit-forward from 10 incremental additions of black currants over a one-hour boil. Faithfull clocks in at 7% ABV.

The appearance was a nice hazy golden yellow to orange color with a decent one finger white foamy head that dissipated within less than a minute. There was some light lacing sticking finely to the glass. The smell had a nice blend of sweet Belgian spices well allocated within an amplified yeasty b readiness with some sugared fruits to round it out. The taste was mainly sweet and spicey still allowing a nice light fruitiness to come out. On the palate, it sits about a light to medium on the body with a pretty good sessionability about it. Overall, wow, what a freaking nice beer that I would love to have again.

Poured an 8/18/2011 bomber into a Dogfish Head tulip. Nice murky purplish yellow autumn type color with a smallish head that dissipates quickly. Smell has a sweetish winey smell not unlike Midas Touch. Taste matches the smell and has a nice feel. Not my favorite Belgian strong pale ale but not bad at all and not atypical of what I've come to expect from Dogfish Head.

2-1-16 - This was my 2011 bottle. I let it rest on its side for a day to get the currants in motion. Served at home into a tulip glass. Nice white head with just a slight, slight hint of purplish color in the body. Super tasty and refreshing. I'd say it held up nicely over the last few years, it was my only one so I have nothing to compare it to. Pearl Jam 25?

20$ for this "ultra-rare". It's an awesome ale, but its lacking. The currant is just not there. This brew seems as if it were rushed to bottle. The taste is good with subtle hints of vanilla, and black peppercorn. Is it worth 20$, no. Is it worth trying once, yes.

Appearance: It has a nice hazy golden/orange color to it. It has a nice off-white head that dies down moderately and leaves light lacing.
Smell: The aromas definitely give out hints of currants, grapes, Belgian yeast, floral undertones, some breadiness and perhaps a touch of green apples.
Taste: Like the aromas, it has some currants, grapes, floral undertones, some breadiness, light Belgian yeast and faint lemon/apple.
Mouthfeel: It has a med-high carbonation with a nice overall balance and feel.
Drinkability: It's a very smooth drinkable beer accompanied by good flavors and aromas. Not the greatest Dogfish Head beer but I love Pearl Jam and Dogfish so this was a no-brainer.
