This Brewpub Exclusive is a sweet, chocolaty, creamy Milk Stout fermented with Belgian yeast. Jason and Matt (two of our brewpub managers) had fun creating and brewing this one to celebrate the birth of Delaney Weissburg, Jasons daughter.
We used loads of roasted barley and chocolate malt then added flaked oats and lactose to make it nice and creamy. We aged the beer on some cocoa nibs from the small artisan chocolate producer, Askinosie, who also provide us the chocolaty goodness for Theobroma.
We are serving this one on a nitro tap to add even more creamy texture!
It is sweet but finishes fairly dry with plenty of malty roasty flavor, some spicy Belgian yeast character and a full body.

Had on tap on International Stout Day. Review from notes.
A: Dark brown, practically black, with a nice tan head on top, bout 1.5 fingers in height. Pretty good retention and some nice thick lacing.
S: Rather sweet with some chocolate, a little roast, and a good bit of cream.
T: Similar to the aroma with a good bit of chocolate and cream, sort of like milk chocolate actually. Just a little bit of roast and a hint of spice.
M: Very creamy and smooth from the nitro-tap. Low carbonation, a little chewy, but smooth.
O: Pretty good, the smooth/creamy texture from the nitro did this beer wonders. Would have loved a little more chocolate kick.

A- Dark brown with a thick tan head. About half an inch of head with moderate lacing.
S- Chocolate dark malts and cream.
T- Not as sweet as the cereal, but that's probably a good thing. Tasted like a guinness with notes of milk and chocolate.
M- Very creamy, the texture was supposed to be milky an this definitely accomplished that. Some carbonation, but not much.
O- A good stout, but I think the idea was more for experimentation than looking to make a world class stout. An interesting beer that did a pretty good job mirroring milk and cereal.

Deep black with a nice, tight tan head. Not a mass of nitro bubbles. Very dominant cocoa aroma. Wonderfully rich chocolate flavor with an almost chocolate cake taste. Velvety smooth mouthfeel. A real dessert beer for such a low abv. May get to be too much after a few but damn yummy.
