What more can be said about World Wide Stout... I guess throw it in a barrel and we'll see. The beer poured out ultra black in color with a thin tan head on top. The smell of the beer is strong, lots of rich roasted malt aromas along with some whiskey notes in there too. The taste of the beer is massive, much like the original. It's loaded with flavors except this time its just got hints of oak in it. Overall it's a great beer if you're into strong stouts.

Sample at EBF Saturday.
Dark inky black with a stingy tan head. Lots of alcohol and bourbon on the nose with bits of roast chocolate port and pitted fruits. Hell of a sipper!

A: Poured into a snifter, dark brown color with slight head. After a few sips, somewhat of a limited lacing.
S: Coffee, chocolate and vanilla aroma.
T: The coffee taste was rich, as was the chocolate flavor, the vanilla was subtle but definitely stood out. The oak aging adds character, that I felt was lacking in previous editions of the WWS, making this one much better.
M: The body was solid, but not overly thick, just very well balanced and just to my preference.
O: The beer is very well balanced, easily much better than previous editions and one does not notice the high alcohol content. And as it warmed up the beer got better!
